Whoa there, calm down. There are solutions to whatever problems you're having if you can attempt to figure it out. If you don't like the new update, you can play any old version of the game you want to, so there is honestly no reason to freak out about this. At all. In any case, that's what happens when you are gone for awhile... stuff changes and moves on without you.
If you can't get onto a server, find out what version it's running and make a profile using that version. It's not hard, thanks to the new launcher. You can have several profiles, all using different versions for however many servers you want to play on or whatever combinations of mods you want to add. Once you figure out how to do that, it's all pretty awesome.
As someone who has been out on their own for a couple years now, I don't think that people who still live with their parents have any say in anything. You become a better person once you actually have to live in the world.
Cheer up, kid. Some innocent game developers adding a few features that you don't like to a game that you admitted to rarely playing is the least of your worries.
The update isn't very good if you have no food or armor and you have to chest your stuff to reset hunger, and somehow make your way back to your base...so annoying.

----That is one thing that bothers me, I'd love to explore with a horse, but I can't obtain a saddle for the life of me. I assume by the time I get one that it will be completely useless because I'll have already explored everything by foot and won't have to travel, but if they make it easier to get saddles then it makes it lame.

C'mon people. The OP is obviously a youngster. He(or she) was grounded and feeling angry and taking it out here, when they realized that the game has moved on and changed for them. Being mean (and those people know who they are) is not going to help this person grow with the situation they are faced with. Your just helping them to be angrier and ruder. Some of the responses border on Bullying and are no better than the original post was. At least I understand what was making him post what he did. I don't understand the reasoning for the other horrible posts.

If you read his/her post again and carefully you will see that his(or her) post did explain what he/she was upset about in Minecraft.They were grounded by their parents.......bored.....wanted to get on Minecraft server and found that the most recent update kept them off the servers because the servers haven't updated yet. They couldn't get online in a game to talk about what was bothering them.....being grounded. Some how the being grounded was Minecraft's fault since he/she couldn't connect to talk to other people. It wasn't the update itself....just the fact that the new update was so new that servers that he/she plays on haven't updated yet, and he/she couldn't discuss their problem on being grounded with other people. It's a simple case of a young person wanting to reach out to peers to discuss his problem via a game (obviously their parents didn't included no computer with the grounding) and found that avenue closed to them because of the most recent update. Hence the anger and the blaming on Mojang. People are taking it as a direct assault on Minecraft and taking it back on a person that is already angry and upset. Not a good combo. If people talked it out with them on the forum instead of being rude, the person might have explained more on what was bothering them (whether irl or minecraft) and the situation solved. Instead the person is probably angrier with all the rude comments left here.

Erm 1st off 1.7 just released and the server cant update to 1.7 due tot he mods/ plugins have not updated yet.
Next time read up on stuff and learn a few things before looking stupid
I admit there's a lot of 'useless features' being added lately (terrain isn't useless because it's always there but..) like things such as minecart tnt, flower pots, etc.
Although, I've always found redstone pretty useless in general, so it's just me then.

First of all don't complain if you don't play the game. Secondly, no servers have updated because bukkit, the plugin that allows servers to run custom things on them, hasn't updated to 1.7 yet. Third of all, a server has no reason not to update, as a world HAS NO changes from the previous update unless you generate a new world aside from stained glass or witches spawning randomly with a low rate.
Lastly, you have a crappy drawing of tails as your profile picture that doesn't even make sense

- Any kind of new mob (especially new ones)
- Additional food items
- Anything that makes the game easier
- Anything that makes the game harder
- Anything that isn't related to difficulty
- New dimensions
- Updates to old dimensions
- Performance updates
- Updates in general
- Updates about impending updates
- Snapshots (especially weekly ones)
- Prereleases!
- Boss mobs
- Multiplayer changes
- Singleplayer changes
- Changes to the options menu
- Too many updates
- A lack of updates
This leaves a whole plethora of options for Mojang:- Post cat pictures
(and yes, I've seen every one of these as complaint threads)That's actually why I was browsing Recent Updates And Snapshots, to find people who found game-breaking bugs I should know about before updating.
