Has anybody had issues finding villages in worlds generated with 13w37b?
After searching endlessly and not finding anything, I used a seed from 13w36a that had three villages that I knew of. With 13w37b nothing generated where there were villages with all the previous 1.7 snapshots.
With 13w37a
With 13w37b
The seed I used for testing was: 184631761013030455
A desert village at: 48, 368
A savanna village at: 16, 640
And a plains village at : 1152, -208
I've checked all the 1.7 snapshots and 13w37b seems to be the only one affected.
Given the main concept of the 1.7 update is to rewrite the world generator, I would only expect some differences between the snapshots.
It is odd that the terrain is identical but lacking in villages, but I have found villages in 13w37b elsewhere.

Chickneys are friends, not food. Same with pigs and cows. Not zombies though.

Same problem with me, on 3rd seed attempt. travelled 13000 blocks in search, no luck. Recreating a copy as a flat world hasn't revealed any villages either.
Hmm...my wife found a village in the 13w37b snapshot, but no villagers. It was a poorly generated desert village with only like one or two doors existing in the village. We hadn't loaded that chunk prior to the discovery, so it isn't like the poor villagers were zombified or anything. Might have been just a poor generation, but we haven't found any other villages in the snapshot to compare it to.

I thought I was the only one having the problem. I generated quite a few worlds (over 10 at least) and spent a long time exploring, but no villages. I get the pyramids in the desert and I believe i saw one of the little wells, but no other structures.
There is no village at all generating, oddly though, I was exploring and it would generate Village.dat, and had the village contents generate, but would not be in Minecraft, suggesting that the village.dat file is broken. Without village.dat, villages would not generate correctly. I had the data folder open in my save file, and it would generate the village.dat file, but is not actually seen.
This means that it probably is not reading the file correctly. I did this on both superflat and default. In superflat, it would grow, but I see nothing.
This is good news. My wife couldn't find one either so I loaded up her seed in creative and flew around for an hour, never saw one. So I loaded the seed in AMIDST and checked out five spots that there should have been a village and there was nothing...
She was pretty much ready to quit minecraft at that point, it was hilarious.

It's probably only due to the updated snapshot.
