Hmm, too bad there isn't something out there that you can use to change the texture of the block to the original texture, like, you know, hmm, a texture pack.

Yes i now we can use a texture pack. But i just want to see the old texture of the block without a texture pack.

... *facepalm*. Is it too hard to get a texture just to revert to the old texture? Plus, am I the only one who doesn't hate the new texture? It may not be as good, but it's not as bad as everyone is saying it is. Plus, if you have the option of texture pack to revert back to the original, why wouldn't you use it? The minecraft community, I swear...

I am just saying my thoughts about the new changes. So if you dont like it, then dont write something. Go write another post about the new texture. Not on this.

I may support if you gave more reasoning for why it's bad. All I see is that it makes the edges more clearer, not something that ruins the game.

This. People complain about changes while ignoring the obvious. There's community resources for EVERYTHING. Also, if you're gonna complain, you could at least do it about the terrain gen changes, or maybe the difficulty of the game. Y'know, something that affects it a little more. I mean, if you don't like change, fine, but this change:
I mean, at least with gravel, you could argue that the appearance of the block changed significantly. It went from random noise to clumps of rock, after all.
This is a tiny adjustment to the shades of the pixels on the border of the block. It looks slightly more neat and block-y than the weird mess of blue that it was before. It's still a weird mess of blue, but at least it has some definition to it now.
I see nothing wrong with this. It actually goes with other blocks now. You may actually see it used in building now.
It's just like when people complained about the food textures changing. People complained about it, then no one gave a damn about it after a week or so.
How about you take the old lapis texture from any other version of Minecraft, and drop it into a texture pack? Why should Mojang change their vision for the game, when you could solve the problem completely by simply replacing a png file? Nobody cares if you feel it's too much work; If it's too much work to replace an image, then you really don't care enough about it.
I'm here to support your cause.
oh my god
The edges are chiseled looking, that's pretty much it.

Isn't exactly groundbreaking.

I do not see a reason to become upset.

...but that's just like, my opinion, man.
