If you don't like HUD tooltips, use optifine. Updates about 3 hours after MC updates, boosts FPS, gives more options to toggle, including HUD tooltips.
There already is a "secret" option for that. (Should've worded my post a bit better.) I have no problem with it, but apparently a lot of people do, hence the option. Not sure why they never put it in the Options menu though...

Regardless, if a moderator would so please, theres really no point in keeping this thread going, I would like a moderator/administrator to lock it.
