Obviously NOT!!!!!Minecraft is getting bettter!!!!I bet in this whole world even peolple far far away, plays minecraft cause tou know why?Cause Minecraft is FOREVER awesome.and i am from SINGAPORE.
I think when they add stuff like witches and stuff its not getting better but the coming update will be a good one adding a lot of functionality to the game. Overall I think the game has been getting better slowly the only time i think it got worse was when they changed the world generator back in beta that made really interesting a beautiful worlds. Easy fix with mods though.
I think witches seem incomplete and too rare. I also think Mojang should add a new generation option or something like terrain sliders.

That's nice and all however some people would call you a fan-boy though it's good that you like the game a lot
I think Minecraft is moving in a great direction. I like the new updates. The game just sold its 9 millionth copy last monday, so logic would dictate that the game is still quite popular and is doing well.
I don't understand why the moderators just don't lock these threads like this. All this is, is one giant troll cave where people come to rage and attempt to inflame others.
Here's a quick summary of the last two pages:
Please lock these threads... Moderators we are begging you! For the love of God and sanity please make it stop... Mercy, mercy? Ok, I said it!

Though terrain sliders would be nice (for creative) they wouldn't really fix the problem. The whole point of the terrain reform is to give more reasons to explore. Terrain sliders would just hand you what you want on a silver platter. Not to mention that it wouldn't work well on servers since the whole world would be custom-made for the owner and not the players. While you can please some of the singleplayer players with sliders, it won't work for multiplayer.

To me, that just indicates that Minecraft just has no competitors yet. The only thing Minecraft truly excels in is building, and thus it would be very easy for someone with a good enough coding skill to make a game that could rival and beat Minecraft. Of course, all the games that could do it are still under heavy development.

I'm not sure who annoys me more.
The people who stubbornly rage for small, avoidable things and cause quite a lot of unnecessary drama, or the people who blindly act as if the game is perfect in every way and can never do no wrong.
Oi.
Of course pulling an all nighter always makes me a tad bit grumpy. c:

Well, for me it's not just the building. I really like almost everything about the game; the adventure, the farming, and the countless other things with the mods the community has made. The game has a lot of depth to me. And judging by a lot of Let's Plays I've watched in which people will try to do everything possible, I know I'm not the only one who feels that way.
Do you think minecraft is going down hill as far as the new snapshot such as nehter quartz and hoppers, I think its going off track of how minecraft is supposed to be!
I can't exactly say it's getting worse, although they add new content in a somewhat chaotic manner and they never return to improve old features, thus leaving us with half finished elements.
My thoughts in general. No, it isn't getting worse, but it did get worse a long time ago and not much from back then was really improved.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
No. I don't think minecraft is getting worse. I think it's getting better, even if Mojang isn't working on the exact features you'd like. Maybe you want better terrain generation. Maybe I want a use for lapis lazuli. Well, Mojang decided to work on Redstone. I made a minecart unloading station, and you made a hate thread. This is, as redstonevet90 put it, a troll cave. Look at the tags, designed to make this show up on searches. This is not a discussion on recent updates/snapshots. This is a bunch of people spamming each other. This thread should be closed.

I'm pretty sure that the far lands glitches only appear at obscene distances that nobody has actually ever attained (or at least within reason). No, I don't think that those should be problems, especially because you won't be traveling across millions of blocks; perhaps around 1,000 on singleplayer and 10,000/20,000 on multiplayer?.
So, you'd advocate for an update more centered around exploration, when you say general block travelling in like singleplayer amounts to only 1k blocks?
I like a majority of the update, but the bone meal thing, if it becomes something that's vanilla would really upset me. It would ruin my main method of getting food the first few nights, and for all FOOD purposes, makes bone meal useless.
And the only people who seem to "like" the idea are survival junkies who view anyone who doesn't have a mob grinder as somebody who shouldn't be playing the game to begin with. One guy even said if I don't have a mod grinder I deserve to die (no joke). So in other words, elitists, who think the game should be more difficult than enjoyable. But this is more a problem with the community having a few bad apples who don't see the bigger picture, rather than the developers, I figure.

That's roughly the radius in which you can find all the biomes you need. You don't need to explore any more than that because all the biomes are always the same, except they might have a structure or two. (It's also roughly the radius in which you can find a stronghold.)
If there was an update that overhauled the world generator to put an exploration aspect back in the game, then there would be a reason to explore beyond finding all the biomes and getting away from the spawn on Multiplayer.
It peaked at 1.7.3, from then on it has been feeling like everything else is extra.
(not sure if double post)
I kind of agree, new Minecrafters will look at Minecraft differently then those who started before the full release (like myself). Some of them may even get confused with the overwhelming amount of items and blocks and whatnot.

Unless you're trying to find strongholds, then you don't need to explore very far. I agree they should add something in the generation that would encourage exploration and discovery.
Minecraft can't be made worse when things are added, unless it's something that forces you to play the game differently, something you can't ignore. A new mob can't be ignored, unless it has no purpose *ahembatsahem*, and that's why new mob suggestions are pretty much futile. New terrain generation can't be ignored, and that's why people are still complaining about it.
Hoppers for automated cooking can be ignored. I'm not complaining.

This is the one thing on this page I wholeheartedly agree with.

WHAT?!
Danger zone.

Besides that I love where its going.

That's like saying "If you don't like his post, don't reply to it". And honestly the thread is so huge he probably didn't read it, so... you win?
