Details: When you craft an iron pickaxe you can mine diamond ore with it and a golden pickaxe can't. Mining diamonds work with the iron pickaxe and the diamond pickaxe but not the gold pickaxe. The iron pickaxe should not mine diamond ore (i tested this bug with the vanilla version of minecraft with toomanyitems mod on 1.4.4)
Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem; Exception in world tick

Bug Name: Dimension crash Version: 1.4.2 to 1.4.4 Details: The game will freeze whenever you try to access, or quickly switch dimensions. This bug might also be a problem due to wither bosses in other dimensions. System: Windows 7 Image: (Image can not be taken when games crashing)
Bug name: Pressing right click while breaking a block with an item that can be used with right click will stop the destruction of the block. Same with switching items. Version: Minecraft 1.4.5 Details: If you are destroying a block, say wood, and you have a porkchop in your hand, if you press the right click button, it will stop your player from destroying the wood. Please note, this still happens if you do it with food and you are not hungry. Also, switching items in your hotbar will do the same. System: Windows Vista Service Pack 2. Image: No images avaliable.
well, I think it's the same problem or very similar of
keiferj0415 and Eternal_Enigma (see on this page)
Thanks again
Yes, that sounds exactly like the same issue I described. Random torch flames flash all over the screen just like in the screenshot I provided and it started just after the 1.4.4 update. This is the most noticeable bug. (Photo below)
More details:
Rain bug update: The rain doesn't just bounce through half slabs as I previously stated. It bounces through all block types. (Photo below)
Double-click on Single-click: When destroying blocks in creative mode it often destroys two blocks at once, although this double-click on single-click issue can be mouse related. The micro switch (click buttons) in your mouse could be dirty. You can clean them with alcohol and a Q-tip, but you'll have to unplug your mouse and take it apart. If you're experiencing this double-click on single-click issue just in Minecraft then it might be a programing issue that could be fixed in the next update, but if you're also experiencing this same issue during other non-Minecraft activities (surfing the web, using Photoshop, browsing through folders, etc) then this could be a sign that your micro switches are dirty, going bad, or you might have a virus.
Sound: I've also noticed an auditory issue with the new minecart sound. While on the minecart there is a popping sound in the left channel when the sound loops. It's most certainly an error and is not part of the natural cart metal-on-metal rolling sound.
Block glitch: Villagers and Mobs suddenly fall halfway into solid blocks. (photo below)
I wasn't experiencing this before the update and I believe the rain bounce, Mobs, and Villagers going through blocks are all part of the same issue.
BUG: Stuck on fly down to earth when first starting new map.
VERSION: 1.4.4
DESCRIPTION: When i first start a new map when map is loading and i start my guy is jumping up and down real fast. He is stuck can view side to side but cant move from spot. Have to dig down 1 block to free stuck. and seems to be fine after.
Bug name: Low Hostile Entity Cap / Low Hostile Mob Spawn Rate Version: 1.4.4 (Single Player) VANILLA Details: Since the 1.4.4 update, I stopped seeing HOSTILE mobs in my single player survival world, but normal amounts of passive mobs. Hostile Mob Spawners still function normally. In my "redstone ready" world, spawn rates of hostiles are very low.
* I have a sky mob farm (Y = 190 over a huge ocean) - before the 1.4.4 update, it could hold around 30 hostiles simultaneously, after the update it spawns 1-3 hostiles at a time and won't spawn more until they die.
[Edit]: I deleted the ".minecraft" folder, downloaded the minecraft launcher from minecraft.net and created a new world. Same problem:
* I created a new superflat world in VANILLA, set the time to 18000, and 41 mobs spawned - I waited for several minutes, but entity count remained absolutely stable at 41. There was no entity fluctuation, so no de-spawning - looking around confirmed this. When I walked around several chunks in a circle, the entity count fluctuates from 30 to 50, but dropped to low 40s when I stopped moving.
* I normally use MagicLauncher with the Optifine mod, but this problem is present in VANILLA using the mincraft launcher System: Windows 7 Home Premium, Java 7 (update 9 - current)
TL;DR
VERY FEW MOBS SPAWNING IN VANILLA AFTER 1.4.4 UPDATE
Bug name: server Version: 1.4.2 Details: whenever i join servers, i spawn in and only see void and im continuously falling, i never die from the void. i also can type in chat and see everything but the message doesnt go through when i press enter and i cant see it on the chatlist. happens with every server. a reply would be nice on how to fix it. or what to do. or if i just have to wait System: windows 7 acer aspire.
Your Lagging... it happens all the time since beta even, it's maybe cause of Internet connection problems or Computer Problems

I think I was the first one to download. It said it was updated "less than a minute ago".
Updated to 1.4.5, still gets 0.0.0.0:{port} when open to lan is selected from Host machine.
However it does show the server on the other computer with the correct IP, but when you attempt to connect, the connect fails, probably because the host still has 0.0.0.0:{port}.
Bug name: LAN issues
Version: 1.4.5
Details: So I downloaded the new update that came out today hoping that I would be able to play with my friends on LAN again(especially since it said specifically that it fixed that) and I still can't!!!!! when I open it to LAN my server is still creating 0.0.0.0:(randomnumberhere)

Bug Name: Creeper Reborn
Minecraft Version: 1.4.5/1.4.4
OS: Windows 7 pro
Memory:4 Gig
Creepers Detonate but i return to the same spot to find a creeper STILL there. I tried it on vanilla, i tried it with random mobs mod and it is the SAME creeper.. i have tried on many different worlds and save games and i get this most often in mines or under overhangs
Bug Name: Minecart twitch
Minecraft Version: 1.4.5
OS: Windows 7
Whenever a minecart is moving, regardless of riders, it twitches forward and backward as it moves along the track. it doesn't affect how the minecart travels, but it causes a jittery view when riding.
Cart sound drops out to a jittery sounding sputter that rises and falls in timbre then later returns to normal. Seems to be location specific where I ride through areas that reproduce the effect repeatedly.
Others: Random flames in mid air, shaky carts, ladder sounds like climbing with one hand.
I'm experiencing random torch flickering. You can see the tourch flames flash even if they're hidden behind a wall.
I'm also expericing the same type of random flickering with water droplets. When it rains it drips/bounces through half slabs used on the roof.
These are the only two glitches I've discovered thus far. I've changed texture packs, but these glitches remain.
I am having the same bug

Version: 1.4.2 to 1.4.4
Details: The game will freeze whenever you try to access, or quickly switch dimensions. This bug might also be a problem due to wither bosses in other dimensions.
System: Windows 7

You guys must be unlucky u.u
lmao.
Version: Minecraft 1.4.5
Details: If you are destroying a block, say wood, and you have a porkchop in your hand, if you press the right click button, it will stop your player from destroying the wood. Please note, this still happens if you do it with food and you are not hungry. Also, switching items in your hotbar will do the same.
System: Windows Vista Service Pack 2.

VERSION: 1.4.4
DESCRIPTION: When i first start a new map when map is loading and i start my guy is jumping up and down real fast. He is stuck can view side to side but cant move from spot. Have to dig down 1 block to free stuck. and seems to be fine after.
SYSTEM: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+ 1.90 GHz Java 32 Bit.
Version: 1.4.4 (Single Player) VANILLA
Details: Since the 1.4.4 update, I stopped seeing HOSTILE mobs in my single player survival world, but normal amounts of passive mobs.
* I normally use MagicLauncher with the Optifine mod, but this problem is present in VANILLA using the mincraft launcher
System: Windows 7 Home Premium, Java 7 (update 9 - current)
TL;DR
VERY FEW MOBS SPAWNING IN VANILLA AFTER 1.4.4 UPDATE

Updated to 1.4.5, still gets 0.0.0.0:{port} when open to lan is selected from Host machine.
However it does show the server on the other computer with the correct IP, but when you attempt to connect, the connect fails, probably because the host still has 0.0.0.0:{port}.
Same from starting on Mac or on Windows box.

Minecraft Version: 1.4.5

Whenever a minecart is moving, regardless of riders, it twitches forward and backward as it moves along the track. it doesn't affect how the minecart travels, but it causes a jittery view when riding.
Version: 1.4.5 and 1.4.4
System: Win7 6 core Phenom 3.2G 16Gb Ram
Cart sound drops out to a jittery sounding sputter that rises and falls in timbre then later returns to normal. Seems to be location specific where I ride through areas that reproduce the effect repeatedly.
Others: Random flames in mid air, shaky carts, ladder sounds like climbing with one hand.
