By posting you officially helped this thread get somewhere. Seriously, if you disagree don't post.
LOL, GTFO Kid. Like anyone is going to listen to you tell them when and where they can post. Get real.
You actually just bumbed the thread again by making a post telling me not to post. Perhaps you should take your own advice and not make any comments, if the thread getting bumbed is such a big concern to you.
Anyway, like I said before this thread should really be locked because it has no topic, it is just a general complaint thread for all the nostalagic cry babies out there. It doesn't contribute anything valuable to the community and doesn't allow for any discussion - just random unrelated complaints that will never end, or get resolved.
Alpha and 1.7 are never coming back!
Just thought some people here needed to know that ^

On the contrary, it is a nice controlled place for people to went their rage. We can then argue against them, thus wenting our rage. In the end, all the rage in the world has been locked into this thread and we all can wear flowers in our headbands

That's the problem. This thread is pointless raging and complaining. It doesn't contribute to any real discussion and has no topic. This threads only purpose is to stir up contraversy and get people to rage and flame eachother.
This forum section is for discussing the "recent updates and snapshots". It's not a random complaints and rage section therefore, this thread should be locked by a moderator.
but that's no fun, where wil all the nostalgic stubborn people complain, THEY AMUSES ME NMBLSBHABHBAHBAH
So now everyone who disagrees with X is a nostalgic, stubborn person?
Take each and every INDIVIDUAL argument, and then tear it apart. Catch-all phrases are meaningless. Take the exact details of their argument, apply logic, and watch their ridiculous viewpoint fall apart.
Let's take this thread for instance. Go to Minecraft.net. Watch the little "X people have registered" and "X people have bought the game" numbers. Watch as they steadily rise. Every day. All the time. Rising. Going up. Ascending. Elevating. Constantly.
Then come back here and tell me if Minecraft is dead or not.
even with updates still updating, no ones telling you how to play the game. You can completely skip out on all the new content if you want. And guess what? While your playing, all that content doesn't shove itself down your throat. That's one of the many reasons that minecraft is successful. Its a game that doesn't have to direct the player what to do. The player makes the story.
I have to disagree with your statement completely.
You may not like the updates that Mojang has, but I have to say most of us do.
While I understand that the old Minecraft brings back good and nostalgic memories, moving forward is always good.
If you don't really like the new updates, just use MCNostalgia to backdate your Minecraft game to the Alpha or Beta versions.
Personally, I'm not entirely a huge fan of the new 1.4.2 update, but I think Minecraft is moving in a positive direction.
Every single Minecraft update always brings about something new and interesting, so that the game never gets boring.
The Minecraft community, in general, looks forward to updates and whenever a new one comes out, you get a whole ton of update videos on Youtube regarding it. I'm afraid whether you like it or not, Mojang is going to continue with updates, despite what the minority of Minecraft players think.
No
infact, if they do what you want them to do it will be dead also how is it not Minecraft? Anything that is block shaped relates to Minecraft.
You just pretty much wasted your own time making a thread Mojang will most likely ignore.
And also if you hate all of the updates play classic since it is outdated.

FTFY.
I'm fairly certain Mojang doesn't care much what the OP thinks.
Disagree
I'd say minecraft is bringing out some very creative content, the wither skeleton and boss. It's very unique and I'm 99% sure that no mods and such have the wither in them XD Although I see what you mean about the lack of really great ideas.

Classic veteran here, and I'd like to say that the game is getting better with each update, despite a few bumps and flaws.
-I dislike the current world generation, as the terrain isn't very unique and the wild grass looks jarring and cluttered. (I guess that's the point of it being wild grass but it's still not very pretty. I just wish I had an easier way to clear it out of a large area.)
-I find tree population to be a little too dense in some areas. I understand forests and jungles are supposed to be thick and absolutely full of trees, but I miss having some breathing room.
-The ability to fire arrows instantly and heal yourself instantly was nice, but at the same time it made the game too easy. (I will say the hunger system isn't implemented in the best way, but the game needed it in order to be more of a challenge to survive. (You used to have the problem of not being able to find sufficient food on your first couple days in the world, but now it's not so bad.)
-On difficulty: I'm glad creepers, zombies, skeletons ect have better A.I. now. It was pathetic when I could just lure them into lava. It's nice to see a new passive mob, some new harmful ones (rather unique, too), and a new boss. (Though this boss is easily exploitable and if you don't exploit to kill it it's more of an "artificial difficulty" fight. )
-Wolves: I loved these things the moment they were introduced.
-Ocelots: I haven't really seen much of a use for other than just being cats that serve as a way to ward off creepers.
-Potatoes, carrots, ect: Glad to see more food that you can grow in the game. Animal hunting was boring, farming is relatively easy and rewarding.
-Villages: Useless at first, due to no use for the villagers, but now that you can trade with them they're a cute addition. I don't really like the model/texture they use for the villagers, but it's not too bad. Villager babies are cute.
-Generated structures in general: Why don't we have more of these already? (Though the endless mining shafts are pretty bland, I enjoy the strongholds, pyramids, ect. Witch huts are cool.
-Slimes spawning in swamps: It's about time, considering how annoying it was to get slime balls in the past. I mean, if they didn't drop anything useful, then them being incredibly rare would be fine. But if you're like me and you like to build stuff utilizing sticky pistons, it was an annoying chore to find a slime chunk, light it up so only slimes would spawn, and run around for a while slaughtering them.
-Future updates: We're getting a faster rendering system, more accurate lighting, and a modding API. We have command blocks already, though I think I'm safe to assume that we'll have more parameters and uses for them in the future.
Can somebody tell me how adding content to a sandbox game and enriching the environment hurts it in any way? I've liked the game more and more after Notch left the development of it. (I appreciate him for making the game in the first place, but I find it to be much better in the hands of Jeb, Dinnerbone, and Grum.)
tl;dr: stop whining about content updates and provide actual ideas towards improving the game.
Disagree, while you yearn for the good ol' days of alpha, part of what made that so amazing is because it was so new and that you were discovering that with so many different people. Now that the game has been around for a while the newness has worn off, the grind has set in.
If you don't like the changes, I suggest you stop playing, mod the game to a version you liked, or whatever. This isn't a subscription based game, you aren't paying Mojang anymore than your $20 that you have already spent. They have already got everything that you were willing to give to play their game. The new features are there to attract more people to buy the game. Like them or not, the game will continually evolve, any lack of creativity or originality died in you, not the game.

for example i'm not keen onn the wither so i wont try and make on. i'm not a ption person so again i dont bother with them.
i do like the viallger trading si i use that and the new blocks
the points is you can make the game how you want it yes the new features are in there but you dont need to use em.
except the armored mobs but what the hell cant win em all
