I performed the forced update to go from snapshot 12w32a to version 1.3.2 two days ago, and ever since I have not come across any zombie villagers or the new equiped mobs (Before the update, I would encounter 2-3 every night). Has anyone else had this issue, or is it just a case of bad luck?
Also, is there a chart or any info on the % chance of the equiped mobs dropping rare items on each difficulty level?
It's amazing how many people in this community are complete assholes.
If you want armored mobs, you'll need snapshot 12w32a. The snapshots are betas for the next major update (1.4). Like was said before, 1.3.2 is just bug fixes for the current update. You will only be able to obtain new features from snapshots, until 1.4 is released.
First off, bite me. I know how snapshots work. The point remains that after performing the forced update from 12w32a to 1.3.2, I have encountered zero zombie villagers and equiped mobs.
I have been testing this for the past, three hours... both on the world I had been playing before and after the update and on a new world (Survival: Hard).
Now, unless you children can tell me why this is, go play and let the grown ups talk.
Guys, chill out. We don't need to blame anyone for having a doubt. :~
@Aria
1.3.2 comes before 12w32a.
12w32a is a 1.4 snapshot. :3
1.2.3 is just bugfixes, no new stuff :/
I should clarify that I had installed 12w32a before I had updated to 1.3.2. Before this, I was encountering on average 2-3 of the new mobs per night period, and none since.

Like I said, you're an idiot. If you really don't understand how this works, I'll explain.
When you updated to 1.3.2, it removed all the new features that were added in 12w32a. They are two complete separate updates. Just redownload 12w32a if you want the features back.

was that sarcasm?

Just like the doctor said, they are completely separate updates.
12w23a have the features included in 1.3.2, but 1.3.2 doesn't have the new stuff from 12w23a, because 1.3.2 comes before 1.4
Imagine 12w23a as 1.4 itself.
1.2 came before 1.3, right? And 1.3 before 1.4, right?
In 1.2 the features included in 1.3 didn't exist, right?

I was being sincere in thanking you for offering an explanation instead of insults like 95% of the other posters that had replied.
And to doctorseaweed2: Now that it has been explained to me, I can admit that I was wrong in thinking that I understood how the snapshots work. Fine, I'm an idiot. As an adult, I can admit when I am mistaken.
It's a shame you couldn't have offered your explanation in your 1st post instead of joining in on the adolescent name calling, which I am ashamed to have resorted to in frustration.

Not trying to be mean here, but that post was pretty funny. Because (as you now know), you didn't even need to "upgrade" at all and even after you upgraded to 1.3.2, if you spent maybe a third of the time reading the forums than you did testing out the update, you would've easily found the information you were looking for.
As far as the hostility goes, I think it's because this isn't the first thread about this exact topic, not to mention, the fora is full of trolls, idiots and fools, sometimes people can be pretty snappy, I wouldn't take it personally.
If there still is something you don't understand about the new snapshot/ update, just reply here and i'll be more than happy to help you.

Welcome to Minecraft-forum! If you're not on the ball with Minecraft updates, you get roasted by 12-15 year old brats!
Seriously, people. It's not common knowledge; no need to be a douche to the OP.

Hahaha apparently I am a 12 - 15 year old for "raging" at the op about something that he/she could have found out with ease, and need not make a post about it.
Though considering how long it took the op to understand even what the "nice" people were saying, there wasn't much hope.
Oh noes! That little comment will have made me 5 - 8 years old!
if you install 1.3.2 after 12w32a, features do not stack. you misunderstood how it works, and unfortunately the assholes beat the not-so-assholes to the thread. sorry for that. =/

12w32a is a newer version than 1.3.2. Put 12w32a back or wait until this week when 12w34a will probably come out and you'll have your armored mobs again.
Also, is there a chart or any info on the % chance of the equiped mobs dropping rare items on each difficulty level?
Thanks!
1.3.2 is just bugfixes and is unrelated to 12w32a.
12w32a is a snapshot for the future update of 1.4.
