And in case you didn't read it (And you chose to ignore it), they are adding more to the Nether. So your whole 'ever' comment tells me that you're just a whiney person who is upset that the game isn't exactly the way you want it to be. If you look very closely, you'll notice that Dinnerbone is the one making these changes to the game, not you. Maybe you should email him, and tell him how Mojang doesn't know anything from a developer standpoint, and how you need to be in charge of development instead.
All Nether exclusive. Unless you manage to get a villager to sell Glowstone. But that still leaves the rest as Nether-exclusive.
And all unnecessary in sufficient quantities to justify returning to restock them. Netherwart on the other hand is necessary for potion making at all. You can't make any potions without it.
And in case you didn't read it (And you chose to ignore it), they are adding more to the Nether.
That statement does not mean they are adding anything to the Nether. It's making the same observation dozens of other people have made about future dimensions.
As for the rest of your post. What do you think my first post in this thread was? Pointing out that someone isn't doing what he thinks he's doing and why that is. It's only after people who don't know of what they speak started lining up to blow Dinnerbone and shout down people with actual points, much like what you're doing now, now that I think about it, that I started pointing out why they're wrong.

But, with a sizeable Netherwart farm, you could easily achieve the same quantities, or more, thereby making returning rather unnecessary. The idea that you'll have so much that you will never need to return applies both ways here. If anything, Netherwart would be the easiest to harvest such vast quantities, as it has, basically, exponential growth.
Well I'm not going to argue with you about what you said and what you meant. Although having said that, you seem to have a good grasp of the English language, So I can only believe, that if you aren't trolling, you just wish you had phrased it differently.
Although if you're willing to agree that so long as the change moves the game in the direction of the goal, that it is a valid change, we needn't argue about your previous definition of a valid change. So, in this case, if you're not able to understand the arguments of how this change moves the game closer towards the desired goal, feel free to ask people to clarify their arguments. If you understand the arguments, but find them problematic, please explain to us what is wrong with them.
If on the other hand it's the goals themselves (perhaps you think AFKing in the nether is a good thing and needs to be the only way of obtaining wart), then explain what's wrong with the goals and what you think Mojang should have in mind for the nether instead (if anything at all).
Otherwise it seems you're just being antagonistic for the sake of it, despite your sophisticated writing style, you really haven't said much at all...
I really don't see why there's even an argument here. To me, it looks like the main argument is that the addition of overworld netherwort farming removes incentive to go to the Nether. To be honest, that's sort of like arguing against iron tools and armor because they remove incentive to use wooden tools and leather armor. Really, you use iron tools because they're much more efficient, just like growing netherwort in the overworld makes netherwort farming more efficient.
But I do see where some people are coming from, with this change removing incentive to go to the Nether, in which case you're right, there should be more things in the Nether. However, keeping netherwort from growing in the overworld is nothing but a cheap way to do it.

Keep in mind that nothing has been added to the Nether since 1.0 even though much has been added to the game elsewhere. That is what I call neglect, regardless of some vague concept that the Nether needs to be fleshed out. That isn't a specific plan or even a suggestion that any new content at all is going to be added.
I disagree with Dinnerbone that this is a good thing, but only so far as there is going to be new content added. My point about Mojang abandoning the Nether is in fact justification for moving Netherwart farming to the overworld, because it would be pointless to afk in the Nether only for this one plant. In this regard I am agreeing with those who support this change only so far as there is an acknowledgement that further development in the Nether is over.
This is a game design decision, where the overall goals of what is being sought for that aspect of the game. If the goal is to encourage players to remain in the Nether because there will be additional content, more things to farm and a reason to build a base of operations in the Nether that will allow you to do more than just farm Netherwart, it should stay in the Nether and should not be moved into the overworld.
I'm just logically inferring that since the goal is not to stay in the Nether and that a base of operations is never anticipated to be developed in the Nether by serious players, that it can be deduced there will be little or not additional content added to the Nether beyond perhaps a new mob or simple block which is just more of the same that you find in the Nether. Certainly no major plan to expand the Nether in any appreciable way.

It gets a result.
