Does anybody know if there will be spawners, as in spawner blocks and being able to change the mob or will it just be the spawner eggs. Please reply. Thank you
Probably just Spawn Eggs, although, I wouldn't mind having spawners in creative Menu, but only one, It'd have nothing inside it, and all you'd have to do is click on it with a Spawn Eggs, then it changes its type!
Spawners and mob eggs will most likely remain in creative, and there is no current way to change the spawner block's mob.
However, it is possible to change a spawner's mob, but only through the use of mods, like the Single Player Commands mod.

Okay thank you for letting me know because i dont want to download Too many items JUST for mob spawners.. its a real pain to place the spawners in mcedit then go back to the game.
I agree, there really should be an easy way to place in mob spawners. It seems odd that Mojang hasn't gone after that yet even after all the map-maker friendly additions like Adventure mode and Writeable books and being able to spawn villagers as different professions.

they probably assume that's good enough.
and really it basically is "good enough"
it's not infinite like a real spawner, but it'll spawn mobs faster, and can even spawn more than one type repeatedly.
576 mobs can fit in a dispenser, it's not infinite, but as a player I don't really want to be fighting 576 mobs PER DISPENSER.
so just to reiterate, it's probably "good enough".

True, Plus with dispensers, you can determine how many mobs in that specific location.. It's a bit harder to set up a dispenser mob spawner then just to place down the mob spawner.. I agree though i will just carry out with a mix of the dispensers and going into mcedit to get mob spawners. Thank you everyone for your replies.
Oh and also like you said, its not infinite and so aren't mob spawners.. you can break them a heck of a lot easier then disabling a dispenserOh and i also forgot that with Etho's dispenser mob thing you can mix it with potions and have the mobs run fast or not get hurt by fire with just placing like half mobs half potions.. and the new categorie in the creative will help with quick access to potions.
When the pick block button was added you could select spawners and get pig spawners. As of 12w22 they removed that ability. It was only ever pigs, but still, you used to be able to get them

TMI still trumps.
Load/Save function, easy toggle rain and time of day beats all.
SPC can make other spawners, and it comes with a nice easy automated installer.
Only up to 1.2.5 though, SPC doesn't do snapshots.
