I'm in the same boat as you, as I'm not too interested to research.
From what I've been told and seen on here:
-Sniffer mobs, animals that find exclusive seeds
-Cherry trees and cherry tree biomes
-Archaeology is finally being done
-Probably some other stuff
Archaeology is good, I do not have a problem with this being added, patterns on pottery are nice too. So builders in survival are being acknowledged with this update, however there are some problems I mentioned about 1.20 in a different thread
OP should be warned about the fact that templates will soon be needed to craft netherite gear, both the tools and the armour,
additionally some of the Bastion chests won't even have these items in them, whether someone considers this to be a negative is subjective
But I consider it to be a bad thing, because it is more time taken out of someone's day just to find one item and not everybody has the time for this, I have people who play on my Minecraft server who have to go to work, so don't always have the time to be on to play with me and one other person who frequents my server, and the last thing they need is for an update to reward their time even less.
Mojang doesn't care what we think of the updates though, they appear to just expect us to roll with it.
They do take us for fools sadly, if they didn't then we would've had more world options and especially
the ability to lock Minecraft versions in bedrock edition to block unwanted updates.
I don't really know what will be in it so could someone lmk?
