The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
Personally, I feel like its a huge step up from last year. They all have really good uses especially in Redstone. For me I'm voting for the copper golem for building purposes. I've never been into Redstone, but I think this will be a good use for decoration since it can oxidize and turn into a statue. Its cool to have a variant of the regular iron golem and more uses for copper. What are your thoughts on this years mob vote? I also have a poll to see which mobs people are voting for.
The copper golem seems like the best choice. I'm not really sold on the idea of it becoming a statue though, maybe there should be a way to automatically "fix" it, like how you can de-oxedize copper blocks with an axe.... probably make the axe usable in a dispencer next to a copper golem
I feel like the Allay is more fleshed out in terms of a useful in game ability compared to the other two. I like the thoughts behind the idea of the allay and feels like who ever work on this really put in some thought in coming up with a mob that is essentially an item retriever but ultimately lacked the foresight in how it will truly be used by the community. Let face the facts, this mob should be called the Thief because I can personally think of more then a dozen scenarios where by trying to retrieve items some good and some bad. I hope this mob wins because it will change minecraft forever unlike the other two...
As for the copper golem its feel very rushed and last minute decision changes had to be made to convert this mob into a player friendly mob. And in doing so I feel like someone out there will find a way intentionally put in a way to break the game with the copper golem, thus requiring the devs to "fix" this mob and after doing so the mob people thought they would get will no longer exist in its current state and now we are all left with this flash frozen mob and some copper buttons. If this mob wins I bet money that it this mob will be another Glow Squid moment for Minecraft.
I feel like the Glare is to niche and is more for bedrock players. Who ever developed this mob designed a really cool lookin mob but was obviously held back criteria that forced them to come up with something player friendly, so for that reason I out.
So with that said If your smart and truly like either the Copper golem or the Glare, its simple, don't vote for it, let these mobs go back to minecraft junkbin of ideas and hopefully they come up with a better use for these mobs next time and put them into the game with a new outlook towards what they can do.
