I just did some research and found out it didnt say removed herobrine. Does this mean herobrines back in 21W08A? See the picture in attachments.
Notch and the minecraft creators always puts in a removed herobrine change in the update log. And this update they didnt change it. And as you also can see in the attachments is that in the 1.15 update it said "Removed Herobrine". And it didnt in the 1.16 either. Either are Notch playing with us or Herobrine is back
Most snapshots don't contain that joke, they normally only include it in major updates. That said it is irrelevant because it has always been just that: a joke. Herobrine has never existed in any vanilla version of Minecraft and according to the developers, never will.
Going to lock this, as threads like these just attract people who want to break the "no hoaxes" rule and there isn't any other discussion value.

Maybe Herobrine self isolating & couldn't get back into the game
