I don't know if this is a bug or if i'm the only one but i just updated my world to 20w18a and i can't use my fishing rod anymore, everytime I right click to reel in the loot it doesn't work the line just stays there for a few seconds and the loot gets lost. Anyone else having this issue?
I'm getting the same bug on a 20w18a snapshot server. I cast the lure, and when the fish bites I go to reel but it doesn't reel immediately, and when it reels, I catch nothing. However, it was working last night and the server was still 20w18a, and it worked in the same spot that it won't work now. We've restarted the server and this hasn't solved the issue.
Fishing is having a problem right now and Mojang is aware of it. Its either going to fixed in the next few snapshots or in the final release. Theres nothing you can really do until its fixed

I'm also having this issue. I haven't found any fixes for it or other comments on it though.
Having the same problem, cant get the bobber back when the prey catches on it, hope they fix it
