Hi everyone, I've been playing on the snapshot 18w15a and I absolutely love it !
The under water ruins, sunk ship, threasure maps, fish.
But I have one problem, in my world the mobs are rarely spawning. All of the animals are spawning naturally but the zombies, skeletal, creeper and stuffs are not. (Except the drown). The nether is fine though. I tried to travel super far away but still rarely seeing anything. I tried travel thru the nether and appear somewhere new, but there are still little to no mobs.
I played on single player, Hard mode, No mod, havent change any thing in the game at all.
What's your render distance. If you're below 10, you're getting plenty of mobs...they are just getting "stuck" in further-away chunks and not being allowed to despawn.
If at any moment you expect to see a lot of mobs, but you don't, you could (if you're not against the use of commands) use this command:
/execute as @e[type=SOMEMOB] run say @s
This command prints every instance of SOMEMOB in your chat. Use this for hostile mobs and you will see if they are indeed not spawning, or if they are just out of sight.
If they are not spawning at all, then it's most likely a bug. You're playing in snapshots after all.

Thank you
