I hate that in the new update they changed EVERY command. Now, they removed /entitydata (And /blockdata ) and I try to use the syntax for /data that it says to use, but it's so confusing. I can't even literally name a skeleton a different name now because of this. This practically ruined minecraft for me, since I use commands ALL the time. Also, execute is literally ruined. If they removed this command-screwing-up in the update, and kept everything else, it would literally be the best update in Minecraft. I love all the new block organization, menu, and all that. But the commands, every single one is changed, so I can't do anything. Also, I hate that it's cap sensitive. I just want to quickly /gamerule keepi - bam. ; I don't put the capital I, it won't TAB. So I have to backspace, put the capital I, then TAB, then true, then enter, then Enter again. And back then, it was just /gamer - TAB - ke - TAB then t - TAB bam enter done. So I hate it's cap sensitive, and also they changed all commands, and that you have to TAB through a list then click enter to put it in, instead of just TAB and move on. Anyways, like I said above, I love the new blocks and such. I just hate they made it more confusing, since back then it was easy to understand and do. I guess it looks more 'official' and 'good' since it has all that fancy TAB list and stuff. And talking about listing and such, they changed /scoreboard (Actually removed it) and added /team and more. Which is weird, I guess and confusing now. Also, I think they should add an option besides command suggestions. They should also add "Old command system" which is compatible with the new one. So if one were to put the old command system in a command block, and one were to put the new one, it still works for both. I know, this means some players have disadvantages since there are new stuff for /execute and such, but it would be easier Also, if Mojang doesn't add this, (this is kinda forcing my point) every Realms mapmaker will have to remake their map, so it's to the new command system. Bam logic So that would suck, and would put realms off for a while Also, hopefully they don't force this update on realms, but if they don't, people are gonna complain they're missing out. --- I will not reply to any comments, hate or not.
I agree with EVERYTHING on here. They removed /testfor and replaced it with /execute making things A LOT harder. The wiki is so confusing while explaining the new function of the /execute command. If they added /testfor again then I will be happy. Otherwise, goodbye Minecraft...

I don't understand what is so difficult about the new execute syntax as a replacement for /testfor. The only thing that is no longer possible, is taking a comparator output from it(... Not sure though, I never use comparators with command blocks. Makes no sense imo). If you want to execute a command, based on the presence of a certain block or entity, then you just do /execute if [condition] run [command]. If you want to execute multiple commands based on one condition, then you make a function and the command becomes: /execute if [condition] run function [your function]. That makes more sense than making a large chain of conditional command blocks if you ask me.
I'm really happy about the pressure plate, button and trapdoor changes! I also think the faceless pumpkin was a good idea, the carved pumpkin wasn't that pleasing. I feel like bark was pretty pointless though.
Hi. I do not know what's going to happen with this discussion when they pull out 1.13. I suppose that this 2018 will take out the Update Opinion 1.14 or even the Update Opinion 1.15. I do not really like this update, so I will not touch this section (I'll read some posts) but I'm not going to write any posts in this section until they release 1.13. Many thanks to sunperp for creating this discussion and until then Update Opinion 1.13.
Personally, I'm quite pleased with the new command abilities that 1.13 is giving us. This has been an update that I have been looking forward to for some time, even though, the changes broke the commands in my map, they are easy enough to convert over. As of now, every thing that was possible in 1.12.2 is possible in 1.13 plus more.
And with 18w01a's change of names to Text Components, (which is basically JSON), you can color an entity's custom name like this
Personelly i think minecraft 1.12 to 1.13 updates no longer represent vanilla mc!i mean, new textures? thats going to far

I don't know if this is the correct place for feedback or not, but the new textures are fantastic for the most part. The default textures are hideous and should've been replaced years ago.
Horse remodel was kinda unneeded, while everything else, well, was needed by everyone. So far, it's good!
I have to agree... I for one miss their legs having the old definition (skinnier at the base)...
The second update to the horses in the most recent snapshot seem to be slightly broken; have you seen the necks? They're calling not only the neck texture, but texture from the horses body currently. Funny, seeing saddle and armor bits in the neck on your tamed horses. xD
I hope this is a model issue and they don't change the texture again. Three texture updates for one mob is a bit excessive imho. It's also kind of annoying from a texture artist's standpoint if you're oh, trying to not look at broken mobs every snapshot but trying to keep up to date on MC.

Yeah. Why did they have to give this thing a frickin' llama neck?
Yeah. Why did they have to give this thing a frickin' llama neck?
Exactly. Yes, horses in real life have slightly longer necks, and slightly smaller heads than the MC horses used to. But in game, it's excessive. The tail being longer however, I LOVE. They were far too short before.
But, to stay on topic and not just rant about horse necks...
• I personally LOVE the new trapdoors, buttons, and pressure plates.
• I also DO love the bark blocks, as if you plan to build with straight wood/bark, you can now have toppers so it doesn't have the internal wood grain showing. Good call!
• Now... the petrified wood. Yes yes, I know it's actually a left over from the old days... but I would love to see it in every wood. I'm mildly obsessed with customization and would simply LOVE the option to have MORE wood styles. <_>
• While on that note... I know this update focuses on fixing bugs and "opening doors" in a manner of speaking, so is it too much to ask to be able to put one type slab onto another? I doubt I'm the only one who would LOVE this to be a thing. Brick house with a stone or wood half slab under the window for a windowsill? Yes, please!
• Also on the same note... why can't we have stairs in more styles too? Or more walls? I want a stone brick wall SO BADLY. Also kind of doesn't make sense in the long run why we have nether brick fences but not walls?
• Another thing I don't understand, since stairs can connect/be placed in so many different ways... fences sideways would make for amazing rafters. Just sayin'.
Just my opinion, feedback and 'personal desire whining'. lol

Actually..
/execute if <...>
A lot of people don't know about this, so I'm trying to spread it around.
Really? Lot of people don´t know this?
Actually, Minecraft can be launched with internet or without..

That happens with the launcher 1.6.84-j. I use Vista.

Trapdoor Variants: Good. Should have been in the game much earlier.
Item Frames On Ceilings and Floors: Awesome.
Command Changes: Frustrating, but at least it's the last time (hopefully).
Sticky Piston Fix: Okay, they changed it back to old behavior, but they said it might change in the future. This would be a big issue.
Check out my suggestions! Here is one of them:
Check out the world menu since 18w01.
It's kind of messed up.
