I mean, from a progression standpoint in makes sense since parrots are found in the same place where you find Cocoa pods.
Let's just hope some 7 year old doesn't feed his parrot chocolate chip cookies because that's what parrots in Minecraft eat, hmmm.
Honestly I had thought it would be apples, beetroot, or melons. Which makes sense, considering they eat nuts and fruit in the wild. Also since Melons are found in Jungles.

If anyone has any questions or wants to chat, feel free to PM, I don't bite and I'm frankly happy to have a lil' chat. But if you're PMing me just because you disagree with me or feel insulted, bite my shiny metal boiler.
Just a small question: when I play snapshot 17w13b, the narrator does not activate when pressing Ctrl+B and parrots do not spawn in jungles.
I have Java 8 installed, I have only the music off, the chat settings do not mention the narrator and the parrots do not spawn in jungles in normal worlds and in jungle worlds. I also tried a jungle edge world, which has more grass and open spaces, but still no parrots.
Am I doing something wrong, or is it just a snapshot bug?
17w13b does seem buggy, for instance flying w/ fireworks doesn't work anymore, flying in The End doesn't work, the advancements "Summon the Wither" and "Create a Beacon" don't work either.
Also I'm excited to see what Mojang has in store for us today
Hmm, Flying with fireworks seems to be working for me in 17w13b. Have you reloaded the world after initially loading it in 17w13b? There seems to be a bug where you can't fly with fireworks on the first load of an older world since 1.11.2.
