So, I kill the dragon, throw a pearl through the new portal that spawns and am teleported to another lone island with new weird end fruit trees.
But that is it. No other islands, no where to go. I also notice that the map is only a little larger than the island itself (I am in creative mode) I fly to the edge and stop progressing.
There are no other islands or any End City for that matter. Just this one new island with end fruit trees or whatever all over the place.
I am I missing something? Isn't there supposed to be other islands and somewhere to search for an End City?
The gateway islands and the main island are all part of the same dimension, the gateway islands are just almost literally 1000 blocks away. Past this starting area of the gateway island "cloud", the islands generate to infinity but that's no guarantee of crowdedness so nearby islands may simply be obscured by render-distance fog.
The gateway islands also do not always generate in the same y-level range, so make sure to explore upwards and downwards as well.
Are you in a Console or XBox world? IIRC those have limited size, and that may not be enough to provide proper End Islands. At least you still have the chorus trees, from which you can make Purpur blocks. (Hint: Harvest the flowers at the end first, so you can grow more.)

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
what i noticed after the patch 1.10 for ps4 is they limited the size to the end, and it cuts everything off now, did it on my main world and started a new world the end now has a size limit
I am on xbox 1. The dimension seems to be only a little bigger than the island I teleport to. There are no other islands or even empty space to travel through. It ends like the end of the world map does.

Yeah, sounds like they did a separate map for each island, each of limited extent. You might need to kill more dragons to get an End City.

The outer islands form a fairly densely populated "ring" or "disc" around the main island, separated (from the main island, not from each other) by a void of about 1000 blocks. Even if the map doesn't go much farther out than the beginning of the outer ring, there should still be more of them in literally every other direction from the main island. And since the void is a circle, and the map is (I think) a square, that means the outer ring should go much deeper in the corners of the map than it does on the edges. I'd suggest you start your search for End Cities there.
This is for the PC version of the game though since, unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the others. I suppose it's possible that Console Edition doesn't actually have a traversible void, and literally just takes you to a new map when you go through the portal. It should be easy enough to find out, though. What happens if you jump off the main island and just fly off in one direction for a while?
If that doesn't work, try killing the dragon again. Can you do that in Console Edition? On the PC, you can re-summon the dragon by placing four End Crystals, one on each of the four sides of the exit portal frame in the center of the main island. When you kill the dragon a second time, you get a second gateway portal that takes you to a different part of the outer ring. You can get up to twenty gateway portals, each taking you to a different area. If Console edition has this same feature, then even if you can't hop from one island to the next, once you get there, this would still give you nineteen more little isolated areas you could explore, hoping at least one of them has an end city.
this wasnt an issue before 1.10, before you had an endless end realm, but with this update its now got a limit like on the overworld for consoles where it only lets you go so far and its a very small limit, it even now cuts off the ender dragon fight area
On the console version, there is a main island (About 100 by 100 blocks) with 4 other islands surrounding it (also 100 by 100 roughly). Every time you kill the dragon, a new end gateway opens up (Up to 4), giving you access to a new island. One of these islands is guaranteed to have an end city. (BTW, all the islands are on the same map, but you cant traverse to them via the void, you HAVE to use the end gateways.)
Depending on he angle you throw an enderpearl into your end portal, it should take you to a different island (example, throw an enderpearl in North to go to the North island. throw an enderpearl in East at the same portal to go to the East island)
You have to respawn/kill the Dragon untill a New portal spawn. For my Word this request three Times. You can try in creative before ( with a backup of your save) for know your number...
Do you have to reset the end to be able to generate a gateway? Can I spawn/kill a dragon in my existing end and get an end gateway? Ive been searching and cant find an answer to this.

You think magic isn't real? Consider this: for every person, there is a sentence -- a series of words -- which has the power to destroy them.

Video games are fun except when they're not.

me too. Reset end, kill dragon first time, one portal generated but the new island don't contain an ender City.
With Crystal i have evocated another time the dragon and killed it. But no new portal. Only the first.
I'm on PS4.

I tried from three diff angles and end up on the same island with no others around.
I'm having the same issue on Xbox 1. Two retries and the same exact inescapable island.

How would you recommend doing this on survival? I do not play creative.
I have done it in survival. For respawn dragon you need 4 ender crystal.. Check the wiki.
Cool I'll give it a try, thanks.

Hi!
