This thread is basically about discussing any bugs with 16w42a in Minecraft. I have been experiencing some really annoying bugs as well.
One of the bugs I have been experiencing is this really annoying/frustrating bug with mining blocks. I'm just randomly mining blocks and the blocks that I mine reappear and the item doesn't drop. I mine the block a bunch of times and I eventually get the item. I have been hitting F3+A many times and it doesn't go away. I try to quit and re-open Minecraft, and it's still happening. Can anyone please help me?
That's just chunkloading lag. It happens to me a lot when I spawn in a jungle or use a large-ish modpack, or when I run snapshots, as those tend to lag more than release versions. It should go away once the chunks within your render distance have fully generated.

Snapshots are know to contain bugs. Back up your world save before playing with them. View current confirmed bugs here: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC , and you can submit bug reports there too. There is nothing you can do until a newer version is released. To avoid bugs, play official version releases.
