I was exploring the woodland mansion in creative in minecraft snapshot 16w39b and found a room with a giant chicken in it. don't know why it was their but i thought it was funny that they added a huge spooky mansion and their just a chicken inside!
It's disappointing that the illagers don't respawn in the mansion boundary like guardians do in the ocean monument. I almost don't want to explore the one I've found in my survival world because I know once I kill them (and I'll have to, or else they'll kill me) it's just another ho-hum generated structure that doesn't do anything but look cool...
...and mine doesn't even look all that cool. It spawned right on the coastline, so from some angles it looks great, but others, not so much. For example, when I caught my first glimpse of it, I saw this:
Looks great, right? (Aside from the lighting bug). But then when I went around the side looking for an entrance, I was greeted with this view:
Yeah nothin' says "ugly" like a giant flat cobblestone wall that goes fourteen blocks up into the sky...
I'm half-tempted to tear it down and look for another one, but this one was sooo far away already, and I know the next one's just gonna be even farther. Maybe I'll just terraform the land around/underneath this one, instead.
I don't think that's so funny coming from a professional video game company worth a few billions. It looks like a structure stuffed in by a mod "just for fun", doesn't look like a consistent, professional design. I mean, look at the village and at the mansion, it's like they are from a whole other game.
One is a dungeon and one is a town with friendly NPC's, of course they look different.
Regardless, both of them were made by the same person, and obviously Jeb's improved building skills and use of structure blocks will cause some differences compared to the NPC villages designed about 6 years ago.
I've read that blacksmith/forge rooms were removed in the latest snapshot. What's the point of that? The only reason I can think of is because of the lava, but it seemed well encased.
I in the newest snapshot today it is 16w40 a and the blacksmith room is still in the snapshot..I am ally worried about this b/c in the last snapshot the forge room caused a fire that burned down the mansion almost completely... On a side note though in my new world, new snapshot, I found the room with the obsidian and the diamond block in the middle, you really only have to remove to obsidian to get to the diamond block. its pretty cool to fid a block of diamond in a survival world this one wasn't as far away as the last world
here's a pic of the great find yay
btw.. this wasn't a room with a door, I only found it because it was in a spot where there should have been a room, according to the layout.. but no door or doorway... soi had to break in

Hah! That's funny, because I went exploring for the mansion on survival, and the top floor, which spawns on one room, spawns the chicken room.
Maybe it's their diety? They worship it?
Mewtwo is the best pokemon!
Also found a mansion, found it funny that it was built right next to a village. Can villagers and illagers co-exist after all?!

I found a room with a giant cat in it too!
So basically, I'm stupid.

You think magic isn't real? Consider this: for every person, there is a sentence -- a series of words -- which has the power to destroy them.
