So I was working on this really cool resource pack a while ago, but bad progress nonwithstanding, I think I found something much better... I'm probably gonna never release another custom Minecraft map.Until we meet again...
I hate the new auto jump because its dumb. I feel like I'm not in control. It does the hardwork for you. And I'm fine with them adding it, its the fact it is on by default. To quote my self "New players don't need it and old players don't want it"
I don't see how auto-jump could be useful on a PC with full-fledged controls (that is, not controlled by a touch screen). Jumping or not is a choice, sometimes you want or need to, sometimes you don't, but the game will assume you always do. Why? It would be safe to assume that if you're walking toward a lava pool you want to stop, but there's no auto-stop; probably if you're walking toward a monster you want to attack it, but there's no auto-attack. And so on. It's on the player, not on the game.
"But it's optional". Yeah, and it's on by default. That means in SMP servers builders will have to design both for people with normal jump and for people with auto-jump; for example, a short wall can stop a player from falling, but not if she has auto-jump on, a fence is required for that instead. So builders will have to use fences instead of normal blocks when wanting to prevent accidental falls, therefore limiting design choices. For the sake of... what?
IMO this is one more step toward the feature equivalence of PC and PE versions, nothing else, in order to make the Win10 edition the main edition. So let's say I'm not exactly a fan of this thing.

Why are guinea pigs called guinea pigs when they are neither pigs or from guinea?

Exactly. I'm also worried that eventually this will go on the path of block texture rotation.

Their reasoning for removing it was mostly because you can disable it via resource pack. I'm not too sure if there are any resource packs already to disable it (Though I'm sure there are) and I'm not resource pack savvy enough to know how to disable it myself. It's not really that annoying after a while. (I don't exactly agree with that reasoning, but whatever)
As for autojumping not being optional... That won't happen. I can guarantee 100% that the developers will not remove the option to disable it. First off, it's always been optional on Pocket Edition, and secondly, I'm pretty sure they're very aware at how annoying it can be at times.
Uh, what kind of drugs are you smoking and can I have some?
It's seems pretty simple to me. Endermen come from the end dimension via their intrinsic ability to teleport across dimensions. They have been visiting the overworld for some time and it only makes sense that they could also reach the nether in the same way.
I think one thing about this that people overlook is that it will make it a bit easier to get ender pearls because other than ghasts you could fight them without worrying about other mobs attacking you.
Actually not, will not be easier to get enderpearls, as they rarity on the nether will probably be the same as to overworld, actually this is more an balancing than an facility.
My opinions/suggestions on all confirmed features:
Polar Bears: Hmm, I'm not sure how well this would look, but I hope it suits with Minecraft. Hopefully, they can be bred with meat (much like a wolf), and they will drop fur (new item) and bear meat (not sure what that would be called).
Skeleton-like mob: I think it's going to be a cloaked skeleton in snowy areas that spawns instead of the regular skeletons, and I think the white eyes are just some random design difference.
Endermen in the Nether: It would kind of suck, but come on, Endermen are one of the only dangerous mobs that don't appear in the nether, along with the nether being the only dimension that they don't appear in. The word 'reach' probably means that they can now teleport between dimensions (aswell as occasionally spawning in the nether itself), which has been a somewhat missing concept since Beta 1.8.
New fiery block: I think it's a type of netherrack with lava seeping down some of its holes. Stepping on it is like stepping in fire (but you burn in it for as long as lava), so its not very safe. I hope it will be called Firestone, Fierystone, Fire Netherrack, or Fiery Netherrack.
Unlimited block IDs: Good concept for certain modders; they won't have to borrow other block IDs, and the modding API might finally be implemented.
Easy block state commands: This is great, because they had already done this with superflat customisation, and not everybody can truly recall every single block ID in the entire game.
Bark and trunk blocks, and seamless slab blocks: Great idea for survival mode builds, but I wouldn't really need it that much.
My opinions/suggestions on some possible (but not confirmed) features:
Taiga Villages: Taigas are pretty useless, so this would be quite nice. Also, the spruce wood would be a pretty nice addition to these villages.
Grass Paths and Wooden Plank/Smooth Sandstone (desert versions of bridges in PE) Bridges in Villages: This makes villages look nicer in my opinion. Ever since they changed the texture for gravel in 1.3, villages have somewhat started to look even uglier. Also, they can finally remove cobblestone/sandstone underneath the pathways because grass paths do not obey gravity.
{atention} if any moderator wants to merge my posts wil be free and helped to
Now about the endermen, they can't actually teleport between dimensions as you need to load the chunk they are to they teleport, so even if added the concept would be impossible to reproduce on singleplayer worlds.
About the fire block: Most of you sugestions were just absurd, even something like magma rock would sound better in my opinion but anyways, what you said about what it will do is exactly what jeb was wanting to say when talking about to don't touch it.
About the Bark and Seamless Slabs: They would be useful also on criative as well on survival, i don't get you "i wouldn't need it very much", as these blocks are unobtainable on criative also, lots of awesome creations would be possible.
About the texture fixing: Actually that is unlikely as it was made to disincourage the players to get techinical/not meant to be obtained blocks.
I have tried auto-jump in the Windows 10 version and when I was on land, I loved it. It makes hiking much more fun to me, because you don't have to spam your spacebar everytime when walking through just a simple field, while still of course losing hunger because of the jumping. And fortunately, the auto-jump does not work if you sneak, so it is not overpowered in that and you can not have accidental jumps when moving very cautious.
However, I really hope it will then not work in water if implemented in the Java version, because when I tested it there, I could simply not swim down. The game made me automatically go up and when I pressed shift, it became a battle between the game wanting me to go up and myself wanting me to go down, so that I could not swim down. And that is a real problem.
So in the Windows 10 version it works pretty good on land, but horrible in water. And that should then be fixed, in my opinion. Also, the input from the player self should always have priority above the input of the game, no matter what.

Those links appear to be about two different blocks. One is about a bud block that PE development is currently working on that Jeb says at some point will be implemented in PC and the other is that new dispenser. Can it fire two items at a time perhaps, two separate inventories for each side?
