Will Minecraft Windows 10 Edition be compatiable with the PC version? As in I could join a server while using Minecraft Windows 10 Edition and play with other players using the PC version. Does anyone know?
No it will not work like that. Just like how you can't join Pocket Edition or PS3 servers using the PC edition.
Windows 10 Edition is basically a new Pocket Edition that just takes advantage of Windows Universal Apps
wrong, it will be like that, lol. the win 10 edition is built for win 10 but will also be compatible with other builds of MC, lol. it will be pc ver compat
everything can be like that, they just purposely code it to prevent that normally

Where is your source for any of this? AFAIK all of this is false.
I can vouch for Crafterguy. It's called Windows 10 edition for a reason. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME VERSIONS!! So no. They will not be compatible with one another.
This is from the Windows 10 Edition post on Mojang's site:
Craft, create, and explore online with up to seven friends playing Windows 10 Edition Beta, through local multiplayer or with your Xbox Live friends online.
Play online and local multiplayer with other Pocket Edition players thanks to a free update, due to arrive soon after launch.
The "Minecraft Windows 10 Edition" is a different edition entirely
Think about Pocket Edition. You can't join PC servers, or PS3 servers, etc, on Pocket Edition.
The Windows 10 Edition is a new Pocket Edition, that just takes advantage of Windows Universal Apps. Windows 10 Edition is just like Pocket Edition. Not compatible with other editions (except the Win10 edition will be compatible with PE soon).
And the fact that Mojang said that you can play with up to 7 of your friends. All PC servers have different player limits.
As Wofuline pointed out, Mojang said that the Windows 10 Edition will have items such as beets, which are currently only in PE, making Win10 Edition and PC edition incompatible.
There's not much more proof I can give you. They aren't compatible. When it comes out tomorrow go ahead and try it for yourself.
minecraft 1.9 is windows 10 pc and pocket get it right
Source? I'd love to see where Mojang has confirmed this. Because boy can I smash that claim of yours.
Minecraft 1.9 is completely different to the Win10 and Pocket editions. The big factor for why is they're both using completely differently languages. The PC edition of Minecraft is written in Java and uses Java libraries such as LWJGL, Netty and ASM, while the Win10 and Pocket editions use C/C++ and likely native libraries for the device(s) or standardised C/C++ libraries. As a programmer they cannot just up and rewrite the game under C/C++ from Java, so the PC edition is still using Java. Thus, 1.9 is not the Win10 and Pocket editions.
you get it right, both are pc compat, win 10 and 1.9
They're not. If they were there wouldn't be an 8 player limit in place on the Win10 edition of Minecraft. See above for one, and two it's been stated by Mojang that it is entirely separate from the PC edition, having it's own multiplayer and all.
I feel like the both of you guys are trolls, really bad trolls. Likely the same guy with alternate accounts.

Nowhere does it mention playing with PC edition clients, only other Windows 10 Edition clients and soon PE clients.

rokgepz you are wrong if you go to https://mojang.com/2015/07/announcing-minecraft-windows-10-edition-beta/
it says that this edition of minecraft has some of pocket edition's things. Baby Squids, Beet Roots, etc. These are not in normal minecrafft
Therefore it is NOT Compatible
