Well considering 1.9 is still in the works I may be able to shed some light on 1.10. 1.10 will b an update released for Minecraft
PC version. It will most likely contain 5-9 new blocks, it may contain up to 3 new mobs and the overworld may see a new
ore introduction. There will be some bug fixes and tweaked performances due to the combat update.
1.10 might have a small chance to have a new dimension, it might have a small chance of a new boss and it might
have a small chance of adding magic wands
Since there has been additions to the End and the Nether it seems like a new dimension might be in the works.
The questions being, what would it be? What makes it unique? How do we get there? and lastly, how do we get out?
Personally I wouldn't be adverse to having a reverse overworld or even a space realm where gravity doesn't effect
the player.
You have citations? This sounds a lot like you're being snarky by couching a reply in the form of what 1.9 will offer (from the perspective of someone who's not paying excessive attention to the Mojangsters). As far as I know, nobody's talked about 1.10 other than "OMG, dude, 1.9's not even out yet!"

Add onto that the misconception and correction of "2.0 follows 1.9! it has to!".

They may add more things in the Nether, as it's kinda empty right now, but you should wait until 1.9 gets out of snpashot stage.
I really don't see how the Nether is empty. Even with the 1.8 and 1.9 updates to the mobs in the End, the Nether still has a fair few more mobs than the End has.

Yeah, it has a lot of mobs, but the Nether Fortress it's the kost important thing in the Nether so a new structure with something important would make the exploring of the Nether much more important.
No information about 1.10 has been released yet. Seriously though, we don't even have snapshots for 1.9 and here you guys are talking about 1.10.
That being said, we can speculate about what's going to be added based on previous updates. The six updates before 1.10 (1.4 to 1.9) are the Pretty Scary Update, the Redstone Update, the Horse Update, the Update that Changed the World, the Bountiful Update, and the Combat Update. We can break that down into:
Mob update
Redstone and building update
Mob update
Worldgen and building update
Mob update with some focus on building and stuff
Technical/gameplay update with some focus on mobs and the End
So prior to the release of info about 1.9, there was a pattern in updates releasing mobs. This started with 1.0 adding mobs, then 1.1 not. 1.2 added mobs, 1.3 did not, 1.4 did, 1.5 did not, etc. all the way to 1.8. After that it was expected 1.9 would not add mobs, because 1.8 did, but as we all know the Shulker has been confirmed for 1.9. But rather than breaking the pattern, this shows a new trend. Updates are becoming much larger, so they may contain mobs even if that is not their focus. For example, shulkers are obviously not the focus of 1.9, the main addition is the combat overhaul. This means that 1.10 should focus on mobs just like 1.8 did.
Anyway, given the above chart and what we know about 1.9, I think 1.10 will be a mob and worldgen focused update. I already explained the reason why it's probably going to be mob focused, but why worldgen? Well in the past six updates, the two things that were least focused on were redstone and worldgen. I really don't think it will be another redstone update, idk maybe there will be minor additions to redstone but it's not really something that needs much updating. But a worldgen update would make a lot of sense. Not in the Overworld, there are already enough biomes and stuff. Not even the ocean, since it just got guardians. But now, the question is, what part of Minecraft do you think could benefit from an addition of new mobs and worldgen. Especially now that the End is getting all this stuff. Could this be the Nether Update we've been waiting for?
I highly doubt that we will be getting anything soon, in a little more then a week me "might" get the first 1.9 snapshot, and we could be months away from the full release date of 1.9, so I think we may be getting some new in about a year from now.

I expect 1.10 will include CORN possibly an update to the achievement system.
Enchantment Books in dungeons will start having a small chance to spawn with "Impossible" enchantments like looting 5 or Sharpness 8
A few more potion effects will be made accessible through new ingredients found in the end and the new mobs.
All heads will be give special properties when crafted onto a banner or shield.
Heads can be placed on Posts to scare away that type of mob.
I could see wands being added,
Written books may spawn with wiki entries allowing people to play through the game without ever referencing the wiki.
herobrine will be removed.
the killer rabbit will start spawning again.
The random enchanted books with "impossible" leveled enchants seem interesting to me. However I'm sure wands aren't going to be added, they don't exactly fit into the theme of the game well, even Thaumcraft had to change up the function of wands to suit the theme of both the game and the mod.
I honestly doubt Mojang has a strict pattern for updates, I'm pretty sure Mojang has a central goal for each update and the other stuff is just random content they added. 1.7 and 1.8 were mainly for the technicalities of the code behind-the-scenes and rewriting the rendering engine to make it more efficient and less intensive, and 1.9 is focusing on gameplay once more by overhauling combat.

This doesn't make any sense. It's like saying "Man, what do you guys think Fallout 5 is gonna be like?". It's the exact mentality that leads to buying then never bothering. I know it's an update, but this is what pushes companies to rush games and in this case updates.

so, has anybody heard anything about 1.10? What can we expect in it? New mobs? Blocks? Bigger villages? Bigger tnt explosions?
Oops, my mistake. I'll be changing the title.

i imagine a lot of advertisement for windows 10 probably including a cape for anyone playing on windows 10 ultimate or something stupid rofl
This is for Minecraft 1.10, not Windows 10.

I think that the "impossible" enchantments would be awesome! Gives us more of a reason to find dungeons etc!
not so much about spells or wiki references...
