If they had spent 80% of that time working on Minecraft they'd have one huge snapshot to release. And yet, all we can tell so far is a new block or two, a redone ender-dragon fight, support for multiple bosses, and captions for deaf people. Not a whole lot considering we've gone 6 months with nothing new in MC (excluding the near-useless pre-releases).



So I'd like to know what they've been so busy on, MC, or R&R?

80% of what time? You are not at all considering how these new features that have already been teased at could and probably already have been in secret expanded upon. Think of the rematch against the enderdragon in a 'new form'. What brings about this change? What new challenges will he pose along with changes to the current fight? What will he reward the player with? What will the ultimate boss drop as a reward? What about the dragon egg? Will it receive a new purpose? These are all things that haven't been taken into account with all of the recent complaints. Just because they don't want to spoil the whole dang update for you doesn't mean it isn't being worked on. Some people seem to have the idea that if they haven't told us it isn't happening.

I am aware that they could be keeping most of it secret, I just find it unlikely because they haven't done anything so extravagant like that in the past.

Making games is hard, and I'm sure they're not sharing all their plans with us. What would you want more - a totally broken snapshot with nothing in it, or a bug-free snapshot that works well and has plenty of content?

Keep in mind they take a short break after a major release before starting work on the next version.

True. And don't take me wrong, I want a new snapshot just as much as anyone - I'm just saying, you're still gonna have to wait. Mojang isn't really known for their punctuality.

I'm guessing they're prioritizing on what brings more revenue. Perhaps the new story mode and pocket/console updates.

Honestly, I think we should just wait it out. We arent going to die if the next snapshot takes a while to come out. We can wait, and then it will come out.

Here is to hoping its a good one then! I doubt we will be disappointed.
