Jeb, Dinnerbone, etc. haven't seemed too interested in adding more dragons. Just be happy enough they didn't forget about the Ender Dragon. They never promised more dragons.

Red Dragons were just another one of Notch's far sighted visions for the game which never happened. He couldn't even finish the Ender Dragon before leaving development, which was supposed to be some overpowered boss fight that not even he was supposed to beat. I doubt he would have ever added another type dragon.

I'm looking forward to 1.9! The shields are so cool. I don't usually do snapshots because I've already had enough trouble with minecraft. The Mojang team keeps posting tweets about the zombies and their "clothing", are they talking about armor in the snapshot?

No, they're talking about villager zombies wearing torn villager clothes. That's what I think.

Thanks, that makes more sense. Certainly an interesting addition.

Just tested and it looks like they finally fixed the bug where mobs deaggro after being hit. Said it applies to Zombies but it's fixed on all hostile mobs now.

Finally, mob aggro works.

Endermen also slap you too. More animation feedback is always nice.

Does anyone else think that they should add another purpose for shulkers? Maybe they should drop something useful because at this point they are about as useful as the silverfish and four times as annoying.

Funnily enough, zombies used to have an attack animation bare-handed during Survival Test (and I think Indev). But since Infdev up until now that feature disappeared. Nice to see it back.

Lol I love how the 'Dirt roads' is bold. It just sounds funny to me. xD Though I still think it deserves it, I can't wait to use them in builds!! <3

15w34d caused the weird sign glitch and random chunks to not render, cant step in them but they don't show, this was random, every load up would cause different chunks and signs to be affected and would freeze up upon exiting the world. the new snaps fixed that except now when I go to the End all the Shulkers are gone from the end city buildings...Endermen are there, all the Shulkers that I saw are now non existent....

i believe 1.9 will drop the BASE of new combat system and later patches may fix it (dual wield swords axes etc.) keep in mind is a revolutionary patch and needs a lot of testing. In the past i remember ppl were complaining about many changes but later hotfixes improved the game so far. What i mean: wait and see before judge! is all a snapshot and nothin more!

personally as far as i read i find this new patch VERY interesting and i dont see the time to play it!

Is anyone else getting curious about the cryptic hint Dinnerbone tweeted? The one about the boats? Does anyone have any speculation about that? I think he might be hinting at a huge feature they want to 'leak' thus creating a 'sinking ship' - I'm probably wrong though.

Okay, so the guy he told us to follow is in charge of MCPE, where they added different wood boat types and added oars in the default textures...

NO WAY! IS THAT GETTING PUT INTO PC? I LOVE THE DARK OAK BOAT TEXTURES!

Bigger boats would be so awesome. Imagine sailing across the seas with your hearty crew of villagers... Although (and I'm probably the only person who has this opinion) I think that they need to change the oceans so it's not "Giant Pangea with puddles of ocean surrounded by land" and we have actual continents. Inland seas are great, they just get boring after you find four or five of them.

They had said at some point they were looking at making a more durable boat. Perhaps this is it and you can find something there that lets you craft one.
