So I started a Hardcore map in 1.7.10 and was wondering if when I upgrade to 1.8 whether ocean temples will appear as I explore outward? All the new stuff like armor stands and rabbits and whatnot I can imagine being added with little problem, but I don't know if temples work differently or if it's tied into initial land generation or whatnot. I'd rather not start a new game just to have the prospect of finding these...

They will appear as long as you go to new chunks and find one

they will appear in older worlds (that what mojang said) i dont know if they will appear in new chunks or alredy generated chunks

They will try to generate in Deep Ocean biomes that have not been loaded for more than two minutes.
