My thread states that it WILL most likely take place on the east coast of the USA.
Considering that Minecon has alternated between the US and various European countries since 2011, if Mojang continues to follow this pattern, Minecon 2017 will not be in the United States. It will instead will be in a country in Europe or some other country with a high concentration of Minecraft players. From the locations that Mojang has chosen previously, the location would also likely be a top-tier tourist destination.
I think that Minecon 2017 should be in Toronto for a few different reasons. One I live nearby (I'm just being honest). Two the high population of the Greater Toronto Area of 5.5 million people. Three unlike most places where a few people play Minecraft I've noticed that in my area everybody you meet goes to Minecon. Four Toronto has lots of tourist attractions like the CN Tower (It being the fifth tallest man build structure on the planet) would draw lots of attention. For all these reasons I think that Toronto would be a good location for Minecon 2017.

Don't any of you know that Mojang doesn't care about this thread? It's probably going to be in The United Kindom or somewhere in the EU since it seems to differentiate between The US and the EU/UK every year. This isn't a suggestion at all. I'll even explain.
Minecon 2010: Washington State/US (This is irreverent because this one had less than 100 people at it and wasn't even professionally done)
Minecon 2011: Las Vegas/US
Minecon 2012: Paris/EU
Minecon 2013: Orlando, Florida/US
Minecon 2015: London, England/UK
Minecon 2016: Anaheim, California/US
See the Pattern? Next Minecon will probably be in the UK/EU.
They should host it in antarctica so we all have to leave our countries! Except for the few players in antarctica.
Inb4 it's on the moon for minecon 2018.

I had this year's tickets, was almost buying the plane tickets, but my visa was denied, so I can't go anymore.

Northeast region, period. We really got stiffed when we were promised an east coast minecon and it was in florida.
