I really love this map! The only problem is... well... I keep experiencing issues where i get "stuck" at a certain part. Meaning, for example, I can't leave the witch fight after i beat her because the disc fell under the piston table and i can't pick it up... :/ Plus adventure mode doesn't help any with that! XD By the way, while i was buying from the shop, lightning struck the house and burnt the shop down, thus killing the testificates! lol
I have a few suggestions though:
(Don't click if you don't want spoilers)
The excitement of the map unfortunately diminishes as you progress.
The start of the map was very, very exciting, but as I went towards the end, I began acquiring more gear and became more powerful, while the mobs and the bosses did not. As I progressed through the map, I found the map to be more spam-left-click than strategy and using potions, surroundings, the things that make PvE more interesting and unique.
You nerfed the bosses due to popular request; I wanted them to be actually harder.
With full Demonic armor and Angelic weapons, you're unstoppable, and PvE becomes tedious rather than challenging. I understand that some people have problems with the bosses, so I give you this: how about you make two different variations of the map, one being the nerfed version, one being as it is now, and the last one being the buffed version? Then people would be free to choose which difficulty the map would be, other than /gamerule, and everyone is happy.
From all of the bosses, here's my list of easiest to hardest:
Spider, Skeleton King, Witch, Herobrine, Mage, Wither.
I think Herobrine has to be buffed significantly, and you should make it spawn minions as well, as you did with the skeleton king, except with baby zombies. After you take care of the resurrected bosses, all you have to do is swing your sword at him like crazy for a few minutes, and that doesn't involve much action. The reason I liked the Mage and the Wither the most was because it constantly kept you occupied and gave you a plenty of challenge throughout the entire fight. I believe Herobrine should work the same way as well.
Add more tools!
I really liked how you included custom loot in your map, with the custom enchants, names, lores, etc.
However, I'd like to see more - not just swords, bows, and armor, but other crazy, awesome loot. Think outside the box!
After defeating Zatho the mage, you could give the player a stick with Fire Aspect V and Knockback I (represents a staff), and it could be used as a defensive weapon to keep mobs away from you, instead of the traditional hack-and-slash.
I'm sure you can think of a whole lot more than me
Some things that could be changed:
-Please make the railing in the stairs in Herobrine dungeon much higher. Once you smack him off the stairs, he has no chance against your high ground. This makes the fight a whole lot easier and ruins it.
-This is probably the most popular issue - killing the Wither. The Power 80 bows seemed like you were being way too easy on us, and wanted to get the dungeon over with. Maybe you could make the Crystals dropping from Wither Skeletons a little rarer?
-And another issue is the Wither music disc after the fight. When I played the map, the Wither died, and no music disc was dropped, but the Nether Star was. How about the Nether Star can be traded with the Victor in the Nether for a music disc?
-Also, just for the fun of it, add additional content at the end of the map! For example, you could add a bonus room at the bottom of the "To Be Continued" opposite to the row of heads, where you can click on a button to switch your gamemode to Creative and look around the map. You could also include a book with a list of coordinates (Spawn, outside Herobrine's house, Nether, endgame room) so the player could teleport to those locations and check out how all the awesome things in the map were done.
this felt like diablo 2 all over again, now if only it came in 4 acts and each had a different set of armor after wards with differeing stats, you could also have done it to were as you go up in the level the armor becomes attuned to your advancement as well, i start with leather at the beggining get enchanted lether by the middle and then regular gold/iron armour by the end of the act.
get what i'm saying?
other wise hell of a throwback for me, at risk of sounding cliche, make more!
I...I..
Words cannot describe how much i love this map
My bro and i played on Hard, it was epic. You really made the fight fair with the wither with the anger tears and epic bow. The fight was hard, but epic. I love you man. I wish that one day, I could stand at your stature, and be able to build as good as you. For now, i suck ass, for i have no creativity or patience. Keep making more maps, this and vamp survival i love, and obsidian defenders blew me away. U have to continue, be inspired!
This is an excellent map. I beat it in about three hours and was quite satisfied after doing so. The design of the house was epic and the bosses and custom armor were really cool.
Ok whenever i load it onto my minecraft vanilla server i put all the settings in and stuff and it just wont work for some reason it generates a random world. Any ideas?
He must have been working on this on for a pretty long time, this map really shows hard work.
Try using this texture pack on the map:

For the herobrine no drop disc, just save a disc from an earlier boss fight. Heh heh heh Nice way to cheat and skip boss battles
