Unfinished village with server owner working on it + his greenhouse in the back (before we began planting).
We added all buildings, cats, golems, villagers, and every type of plant we could grow in this area.
A witch-tower he built off a youtube guide. Took a lot of mining and warped-tree mining to get the materials, but we also got a lot of bonemeal and diamond out of that.
Here's the oldest one I have (Aug 2012), saved from a corrupted hard drive. Not sure exactly what mod(s) are being used here, but I do remember this world. I definitely had older screenshots, as I had been playing for at least a year at this point, but they couldn't be salvaged from the drive.
My earliest pictures consist of a set of around a dozen from mid 2012. They were taken of my main location in my first world that was a few months old by that point.
Looking at the dates and time, one in particular seems to have come a few hours before the rest, so this appears to be my formal earliest screenshot.
Then there's a set of 11 which consist of starting a few hours later and over the course of a day later. I won't show them all, but here's two in particular to make some remarks.
No corner upside down cobblestone stairs, and no upside down sandstone stairs yet. Those didn't exist yet in 1.2.5, but according to the dates, this is merely a few days after 1.3 released, so I'm not sure which version these screenshots were taken in. I know I didn't hold off long on upgrading, but it's so close that I'm not sure. And it may have been a short while before I got around to adding those things. So these could be either 1.2.5 or 1.3. I wish there was a way to know.
Likewise, no roof overhangs, and that village changed drastically after that. The lava pool was removed for a chicken farm, which was later pushed back into a dig out side in the mountain, and replaced again with a house. Some of those other houses were replaced. Most of that field beyond the wall had drastic additions to the village.
No formal fullscreen option in the game options yet, either (Alt+Enter was of course a thing, but as you can see I was just playing with a maximum window size back then).
And then there's a single outlier that was around a week later than the rest.
weird question, do you happen to know what that texture pack is?
Oh, I seem to recall there was a mod for different colored creepers back then, maybe elemental ones?
Oh yeah - that was it, I think! There are also some strange items in my hotbar from some other mods, I believe one of them was wireless redstone(?) and another was some elevator mod.
The oldest image I can consistently find is from August 2013, of a cracked server of all places. I've definitely taken screenshots prior to then as I have been playing for over a year at that point, but I have yet to find these screenshots if they still exist.

That's not a weird question, and yes I do; it's John Smith (now John Smith Legacy, which is still updated by JimStoneCraft and the community). I still use it to this day for that world.

Yeah, I didn't recognize anything in the hotbar, but the different colored creepers seemed familiar.

I've been playing Minecraft since 2013 but started out on the Xbox 360 so obviously I couldn't take screenshots.
I may have some old screenshots on my old family computer dating back to 2014 but I have yet to get those files off (probably should before the hard drive breaks down )
Edit: I got those files off today. Here is my first screenshot, dated November 4, 2014:
(see spoiler for old reply)
The oldest screenshot I have on my computer though is this one, dated June 17, 2017:
This is probably one of those "accidentally pressed F2 instead of F3/F1" type screenshots though, as evidenced by the second screenshot:

I'm sort of surprised "family computers" are still a thing. Back when they were expensive and more novel, it was definitely common, but it seems like everyone gets their own device at birth these days, haha.
But definitely back it up now if you care about the world(s)/other data. Don't put it off unless you don't care about the data.

Ah, so at least it's not just me that happens to.
Technically all the computers in our home are shared, although not super often.

I technically had an old hand-me-down VAIO laptop from 2008 but even back then that thing was practically unusable. It was so bloated it struggled to run File Explorer, let alone Minecraft. So I just ended up using my dad's computer for most things until I got my own.

Well you've pushed me to finally extract the hard drive and back up the files! It was a long process but I got it to work. Going through my old worlds has been a treat.

A gate/anti-gate temple idea, never fully fleshed out in the server it was meant for.

Piece of cake

Most of my really old screenshots were two computers ago, but I kept hold of a special one. First image of my vanilla world.

Wow, have you had the same world going since Alpha? Impressive.
There's a few around that have very old worlds from alpha and beta, yes.
I have a world from 2012 still going so it's close to that in years, but it doesn't sound as impressive since it's a post-release (1.2.5) version.

This thread is incredible, took me back in time
