I will take advantage of this offer if Papa ever allows me to have a Windows device, but that seems unlikely, no Windows at home as far as I can remember.
I do not mind though, I like Java Edition, and mods!
I'm thinking about the something, because the Microsoft account I used to download Minecraft Bedrock is different from the Microsoft account for multiplayer, so if mojang give me the java version , the ID will be account that downloaded minecraft or the account ID is my multiplayer account?

You don't need a windows device to play Bedrock? I'm pretty sure its purpose is cross compatibility
I already owned both versions... I wish there was a way to turn the message off. It's just kind of irritating and in the way in my case. I like to look at the background art lol
Many of us who had Java when Bedrock first came out got it for free. It makes sense that they are doing it again.
Also, both Java and Bedrock each have their plusses and minuses. Bedrock is good for bad hardware and for casual players, Java is good for those who like a more technical gameplay (aka automation) and mods.
Me... I tried bedrock when it came out, had a big yawn... and never touched it again. I even tried the mobile version but the touch interface was very unsatisfactory so that's yet another one that I own and don't use.

From the information MS/Mj has been releasing, that is what it sounds like…
