So I want to find the brick pyramids found in the infdev version of minecraft, and infdev is on the launcher, but the version of infdev on the launcher raised a few red flags,
1 - Stacks of 64, I don't know if this is incorrect but I thought that infdev had stacks up to 999 or something like that
2 - No obsidian.... whatever spread around the map
My basic question, is the version of infdev on the minecraft launcher the version with the brick pyramids and all that other stuff
sorry if there isn't enough information but I needed to ask
The Wiki has a download for inf-20100227, which links to an archive, but far as I know it is legal since they are not the sort of site to condone illegal activities; the download appears to actually be inf-20100227-2 but according to the Wiki you'd want this version since inf-20100227-1 generates them cut off at the height limit:
https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Java_Edition_Infdev_20100227-2 (downloads on the right, you want both the client jar and json; in order to install it create a folder named "inf-20100227" in the ".minecraft\versions" folder and copy the jar and json files to it.)
https://archive.org/details/Minecraft-JE-Infdev (an archive of all known InfDev versions, most of them unavailable in the launcher. There are also links to archives for Pre-Classic, Classic, InDev, Alpha, and Beta, also including many versions not in the launcher)
Ok you need infdev 20100227 make world and go 45 degrees left and go like 500-600 block? And it's take 10-20 minutes then you found it the brick primary

This won't necessarily work because of seeds, assuming they are randomly generated, and the only way to get a set seed in older versions is to edit level.dat, deleting the chunks so they regenerate.

I think infdev had stacks up to 99. To answer you question about brick pyrmids... they were added in Infdev 20100227-1 and removed in Infdev 20100327.
the infdev version on the launcher is 20100618. Therefor you cannot see the brick pyrmid in person. Sorry
Oh ok, do you know any (legal) way to play version 20100227-1?
Ummm... I dont know any LEGAL ways.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
Thanx
they don't provide a download for the json, do I copy the script and paste it into a txt and conveet it to json?
I think TheMasterCaver meant these Links here.
And yes, after testing the link i think you have to copy the code and save it in a json file.
(just rename the ending of example.txt to example.json)
My projects:
-are abandoned for now. I might pick 'em up in the future.
For now i'm working on a private modpack that suit's my own playstyle.
I am gonna stay in modded 1.12.2 untill my potato dies. No mercy! :Q
unfortnutenaly they don't work, I did everything, I put the jar and the json in a folder, put in in versions folder!
so i think the downloas dont work
So you can't select the installation? Do you have the version checkboxes enabled for releases, snapshots and modded?
That might have to do with this but i don't know in wich category the indef falls. You can't do much wrong if you enable all of them.
Look in your launcher under installations.

thanks but i just found out about betacraft soooo/....
Oh yeah, that works too.
BTW, I wonder how long it would take to build your own pyramid in current version. Should make a challenge thread for it, but it seems rather dull.
That could be a new speedrun category. The Brick-Anchamun challange?
xD

It sounds intensely boring to be honest, but I'm sure someone out there would enjoy it.
