I have an underground 100 block diameter area that I keep mobs in including a pack of foxes, and when I first introduced them to the environment, they took shelter in the dense forest part and made it their home.
But some bellend made a hole in the ceiling of an unfinished part and that made all the foxes flock to that source of sky for some reason. Even after fixing the hole, They are always just piled up in the corner trying to get to the block the hole was in 30 blocks above.
I've tried dragging them back to the forest, planting a bunch of wheat in the way, even introducing a hole above the forest for them which hits the floor.
Two of the foxes seem to have returned back to being in the forest but the rest are still stuck over in the corner.
Does anyone know how fox pathfinding works?
