So around a year ago or so I became obsessed with the idea of a minimalist skyblock. After realizing much of minecraft could be achieved with just a tree on a dirt, grass, and a lava bucket, I decided to try it with a couple of my friends. We were able to get to the point where we had diamond tools and armor and working our way to getting dirt. However, much of the game was still unachievable due to the nether being inaccessible (without giving the player obsidian to start with, which felt cheaty almost) and being unable to empty the nether with my minimal experience in customizing worlds.
When 1.16 was announced however, I regained inspiration for skyblock. Piglins gave access to much of the game that was previously locked. Obsidian and quartz were now tradeable, meaning many redstone components were then unlocked. Blazes for blaze rods meant it was now possible to make potions (which makes villager conversion alot easier... because witches are not fun to deal with) and ender eyes, meaning if an end portal existed, we could go to the end. After messing around in singleplayer for around a week I came to the conclusion that in order for this to be possible, a nether start was required as piglins cannot survive in the overworld. All that was needed was a fungus plant, a nylium, a bone meal, lava, and a grass block (and an existing endportal).
The one thing I could not do was set up the world. I made many attempts but I just did not have the knowledge to execute it. Fast forward like a month, I see a channel named Rays Works come out with a video with the pretty much exactly what I was trying to achieve. Being super excited, I clicked on the video right away. However, I eventually found out that they were not going to release the world (or mod to create it) until they finished their play-through. Considering how long my overworld play through was going to take (Took around 2 weeks to get to a position where I had a CHANCE of getting more dirt), I do not see the series ending any time soon. I tried again to recreate the world but with no avail.
I therefore ask if one of you would be able to help me recreate this world and possibly play along. I have been wanting to play a bare bones skyblock (and I think I even posted about a world I had awhile back) for so long and I don't know if I can wait a year or however long their play through takes.
