I'd say yes to a degree, but if something can be emulated and surpassed by a simple auto-click script then that isn't the part of the combat that is "skill-based". Accuracy, equipment, strategy, and tactics are all much more important than mindless button mashing.

Don't forget that even 1.8 has damage immunity, preventing any damage from being dealt for half a second after the last attack, unless you can deal more damage, and then only the difference is allowed through (e.g. if you hit an opponent with a diamond sword you'll deal 8 damage; if you then manage to deal a critical hit within half a second you'll deal a total of 12 damage, not 20, or 4 damage for the second attack. Likewise, if you reverse the order of the attacks the second attack is completely negated).
Because of this, the difference between 10 and 20 CPS is far less than double, adding at most 0.1 and 0.05 seconds to a base of 0.5, or an effective attack rate of 1.67 and 1.82 CPS, an increase of only 9%, and even perfectly timed attacks are effectively limited to 2 CPS. This only applies to a single opponent but accuracy comes into play with multiple opponents (i.e. you have to turn to face each opponent); I've been able to hit up to 3-4 mobs within half a second but players are likely harder to hit (the limitation with respect to attacking multiple opponents is what I don't like about 1.9's attack cooldown; my own implementation is applied per-mob so you can attack multiple mobs as fast as you can, limited by either their number or how quickly you can attack multiple opponents. Also, prior to 1.7 your weapons lose durability on every attack, even if no damage is dealt, so you can very rapidly wear them down by spam-clicking).

I didnt know anything about the decrease of the damage on the second attack.
Idk when did that existed but its a good info i might use and tell.
I was able to get 8 click in 1 second, I will try to score more. It was fun taking the CPS TEST. Trying Different techniques will help but there are many other factors that will help to score good
*Exercise and Practice daily will help you score more
Truly the CPS Test helped me score good. Gamer's are well aware of the importance of CPS Test fro their gaming score in Minecraft. The click speed test is an efficient way to scale your click per second. Having good click speed will improve our gaming skills and win the game and beet the opponent very easily.
So i want to ask a question to the 1.8 pvpers.
Does cps actually matters?
Bcuz I've been playing on a server with my friend whos cps is like 8.
I have 14 cps with jitter click and 21 with butterfly clicking. But he still kills me every time.
I want to take advice from you guys like what should i use during pvp?
I cant do w-tap bcuz i cant get the timing.
Im Sorry if this is this wrong thread to post this kinda stuff.
No!, Your Aim Matters

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
I didnt know anything about the decrease of the damage on the second attack.
Idk when did that existed but its a good info i might use and tell.
Thanks for the info Mastercaver.
You are a true veteran.
I'm trying to get my aim right.

CPS matters if you're good at it, if you're bad at it then strafing, dodging, and deceiving matters instead.
