Back when I first played minecraft faction servers were more closer in gameplay with Towny and Survival and they used actual generated minecraft worlds, while I do love the raiding aspect I really, REALLY dislike how they use custom worlds with strange terrain. It makes everything seem disgustingly artificial and fake. Why even go through the effort of doing that in the first place when you can just make a new minecraft world with multiverse and go along with that? This seems to be a common trend with modern factions nowadays, but from what I hear most people don't really find this gamemode that entertaining anymore anyways.
Also don't really like how alot of big servers nowadays have distance rendering issues, this is mostly because of Java versions hindering the gameplay a bit. Hopefully mojang will find a workaround one day to make this alot less tedious.
Another boomer-esque complaint I have is the obsession with popular servers creating large overly realistic medieval like spawn hubs and players complaining when a new server doesn't have one. Wouldn't it be better to not stick with a trend that has been ongoing for years since like 2013/14? I remember when I started a survival server up this dude would complain non-stop about how I needed to get a better spawn and hub despite the building there being completely fine, it just didn't adopt that ridiculously large server hub and spawn look all these giant servers have today.
What bothers you about most Minecraft Servers out there?
Something that bothers me is buying an unban. If you get banned for hacking you should remain banned. You don't really learn your lesson if you buy an unban. A lot of servers make a lot of money this way. It's a money making thing.
