I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this kind of thread but eh I think this is a good location.
Do you remember the good old days when you were a noob? I certainly do. I remember when I first started MC and people were hyped about diamonds. I was curious about the new ore's appearance and I decided to google it. But I ended up seeing the image of a diamond BLOCK, not the diamond ore. So I was just casually building an underground house in MC when a one block wide one block tall patch of water came into my house while I wasn't noticing. My computer's graphics were bad back then, and I thought it was a diamond ore. I got super excited and swinged my pickaxe at it for about 2 minutes but I still believed it was the ore since I thought stronger equipments are from hard blocks. (Because stone equipments are stronger than wood ones and stone is harder to mine than wood) I evantually gave up. After a few months, I realized that I was an idiot.
What's your funny embarrassing moments you would like to share when u were a noob?
I wanna say one of the “noob” things I have done up till about 3 months ago was the way I stripped mined. Instead of strip mining by going two blocks away from each other I used to mine every other block.

Every third block is still unnecessarily close, since (most) diamond veins are 2 blocks wide they can't hide in a 3 block thick wall, you can still see them from one side or the other.
More on topic, on one of my first worlds I removed all the stone below Y=12 or so, leaving an enormous cavern with a very uneven bedrock floor and stone basins around the lava pools. Fun times!
Nothing really funny to report here. In my first MC world my „base“ was a hole in a hill in a place with a lot of bushes. It contained only a chest and a crafting station. Looking back, I suspect it was on the edge of a jungle biome, but I didn’t know about or recognize biomes back then. Anyway, I gathered a lot of flowers to make the entrance look pretty and I was exceedingly proud and excited. I didn‘t know about fences or walls and a creeper exploded and destroyed the entrance. When I respawned I took off to collect resources to repair the entrance. I got lost and couldn‘t find my way back. I didn‘t know about coordinates. I spent several hours looking for my cave in vain and finally started a new world. I also started to binge watch „survive and thrive“ videos on YouTube which helped alleviate my severe case of noobiness.
I've played since early Beta, one thing I used to do when enchanting was first released was enchanting my diamond pickaxe with silk touch because I thought it was cool lol.
Taking a break from the game to do showcases and then getting attacked by mobs at stone level tools, no armour and just getting used to survival again. Just happened to me a week ago but I've gotten back into the flow of things again. XD
Back in 2013, I was super frustrated that peaceful mode wasn't working since there were wolves. I also abandoned worlds after sunset came.
I also spent way too much time building staircases to the top of the sky; later on, I found out there is a height limit.
I was building on my superflat world when I encountered the edge of the world, and I thought the game was glitched.
One of my most pointless adventures includes building houses out of every material in the game; I still do this every once in a while.
I abandoned one of my first worlds because I dug straight down and landed in a cave; for some reason, I didn't think to just build up.
When I was making those pointless staircases, I wanted to make them out of planks, but couldn't because there were only so many planks I could find just laying around in the tutorial world.
My first house was so crude that it literally was some dirt and sand under a tree.
When I first started Creative mode, I couldn't tell the difference between Creative and Survival mode, with the exception of hearts. After a minute, I proceeded to grab about 3 stacks of planks instead of just one stack.
I used to make houses that were just boxes and used slabs for the tops of tables. I also made full-size chairs that were over 3 blocks high.
On my first house I made, I made a nether portal with a wooden floor. I must have missed, and I just went to the nether. After I came back, my house was on fire and I then decided to put it out by grabbing a bucket of water and dumped it all over my burning 2nd floor. There was water everywhere (this was when sponges were decorative items only in Creative mode) and I couldn't find out how to get rid of all the water. I exited the world without saving and just built a new house (or went to a version of the game where the house wasn't burnt, I don't know which)
When I encountered my first zombie (in Creative mode), instead of trying to kill it, I went and I tried to block it off with a bunch of stone slabs.
When phantoms were introduced, instead of going to bed, I would try to kill them. They just keep spawning more and more phantoms.
It took me a long time to figure out what fly mode was... I ended up leaving worlds because I accidentally activated fly mode and couldn't get back down to the ground. I later visited the how to play section and found out about fly mode, but not before I lost hours of work with "glitches" that I accidentally activated.
When I first found coal, I tried mining it with my bare hands. I wondered why I didn't get any coal.
Yeah, I was a true noob back then. I still am a little nooby to this day, but I've learned a thing or two after years of playing Minecraft.
when me was du noob. . . I tried to kill a skeleton with leather amor DIED 20 TIMES. and built a house out of SAND.
well I am still reckless and try to fight mobs every night but then 'bout died by 50 phantoms I have not died from mobs in a long time. oh one time I was in the nether with really good stuff and a diamond sword and . . . . . . .. . . . I walked off a cliff and fell in lava . . . . and died.

That is what happened to me! Except I tried to sleep in the nether...
As a noob the only mode I played was creative. I would boot up my Xbox 360 and just build random stuff on a superflat world. I used to make mobs fight eachother (when that was possible in creative) and change skins from time to time. I didn't touch survival until I got the PC version 2 years later. I would play mostly PlotMe or SkyWars but not survival. When I first played survival I was pretty much scared and lost. I got bored and turned on cheats to build a nicer house. To this day I don't play survival that much because it's boring for me but I enjoy watching people play it.

Just testing.

I'm still a noob.... I die too many times.
Well thanks for advice. Guess I’m still a noob lol

honestly i'm still a noob? i've been playing for years but the updates make me feel inexperienced until i learn about the changes.
bootleg fishcenterlive
I made my first diamond mine at elevation 80 into the side of a mountain. I never did find any diamond

That or nether portal placement.

Things I did as a noob:-
1. Trying to mine stone without a pick.
2. Fighting with zombies bare handed.
3. Hitting a wolf with bone when trying to tame it.
4. Killing villagers.
5. Gold tools.
6. Placing water next to crops.
My first time playing MC: runs into the water. "How do I jump?" Later: drowns.
Yes I still remember that day...

No matter many years I have played the game. I am still a noob, just because I don't play enough to keep up with updates.
I broke bedrock in creative and jumped through the hole in attempt to see and build on the another side.
I walked right into a creeper to see how strong the explosion was... I should have done some research.
