I'm on 1.14. Core i5, 1050ti, using SSDs, Windows 10 latest build, latest drivers.
I practically live in a village. I've had villagers enter my nether portal and go missing only to have me go rescue them from the Nether. That isn't a problem anymore after I gated the portal with iron doors. Just last night I was just doing my usual stuff in the village when suddenly the world stopped (like when you set the world distance to the max and every entity in the game just stops working but you can still hear sounds and stuff). Normally the world would respond again if I wait a few seconds to 30 but it wouldn't. I literally could movr around so I went to see my nether portal and there were a buch of Pigmen standing there, probably having just teleported to the overworld. I waited over 20 minutes but the game still wouldn't respond. I could access the escape menu so I did save and quit. That never finished. After about 2 hours at "saving" I end tasked the game. The question is, should I load up the world again? I'm afraid my save could get corrupted.
Unless by "a bunch" you mean hundreds or thousands of ZP they probably have nothing to do with the crash.
ZP spawn in nether portals in the Overworld, that's the basis for Overworld gold farms.
You should copy your save files, the whole directory with (probably) the same name as your world in the saves directory of your Minecraft directory. That way you'll have one copy to check out, if that works OK and nothing important is broken or missing you're good to go.
If that is messed up you'll still have another copy that you at least haven't messed up any further to use when you ask for help in the

Good luck!
Just testing.
Thanks for the suggestion! I really want to recover my save since I have a lot of progress on it!
It's a bug!
