Think back to Alpha, Beta, early relese. The real Minecraft. Remember the old grass, trees, no hunger, no commands, Minecraft was a game enjoyed by all, and it was still alive. Remember the memorys, the community, the old builds, the old players, the old layout. Remember when you could build anything you wanted, the only thing holding you back was your imagination, there was no rules, no tutorial, you learned on your own, the only thing holding you back now is Minecoins. Remember when all of the servers were filled up, and the only thing on Youtube is minecraft. When Notch left the team and sold it to Microsoft, everything changed. Think back to when Minecraft was first launched, remember how happy everyone was, go back and look at the smile on Notch's face in that video. He was happy with the game, we were happy, now he doesn't care, he left and he's never coming back, people don't understand that when Notch was in charge, the game was better, more simplistic, and that's what we liked about it. When Microsoft took over they manipulated the game, they turned it from a community to a product, and it makes me sick. Please Microsoft, Mojang, all of you, stop trying so hard, stop only directing the game to kids, direct it to everyone. And in my opinion, the worst update ever was when they took away the Alpha soundtrack. Now I know Mojang and Microsoft won't read this, they won't even come on the forums, they don't care about us. Remember when maps and texture packs were free. I remember Minecraft once even made of micro-transactions with the minecraft store on April 1, and now look where we are. We miss you old Minecraft, we really do. And those of you who say to just set the launcher back to Alpha or Beta or an early update, you obviously just don't get it do you, it's not just about the old updates, it's about the old community.

Hey guys I'm James, I used to be a noob but now I'm not, I finally figured out how to use TextCraft so here's a banner for one of my suggestions.
As far as I know , you can still build anything you want.
If this game was still as it was at alpha, you'd be the only person playing it dude. Community? The community is bigger than it was back then.
I'm sick to death of reading bitter posts about Microsoft. Go and play the alpha version. Stop complaining just because your mates don't play it anymore.
Maybe someone can make an Add-On for Bedrock to revert some of the textures to the times of ol' and the sounds as well. I think honestly that'd be pretty cool to have a retro resource pack and still have the functionality of current minecraft.

Yeah, i think there would be people who would be interested in something like that. Retro gaming is pretty popular right now.
Speaking of which, why didn't you move this post to the Java section of the forum? Clearly that is what they are referring to.
The OP did originally post in the Java section. Considering they are comparing the old alpha Java versions with the modern Bedrock version they are playing, I felt it more appropriate for this section.

Yes, but my friends play on Bedrock, so it's the main version I play on now.
