So I'm the only one with a beefy PC in the house and my husband wants to play minecraft with me. I was thinking about trying to download it on my laptop for him. Will it work well enough and not drop crazy frames?
Going to err on caution's side and let someone else give a more accurate answer since my time with 1.13 and newer is limited, and those version's perform differently (worse), but it should be okay.
With 1.12, my older and weaker laptop (core i3 4010U 1.7GHz, Intel HD 4400) plays it just fine at a render distance of 12 or so.
If you're mostly going to have him play with you, meaning through LAN with you or online, the PC he uses won't be hosting the world, meaning lighter demands. So, if you're playing locally (LAN, not internet), make sure you host and I'd say it SHOULD be okay enough. Just be aware 1.13 can be performance heavy, even on good PCs in some circumstances. If you already have the PC, you can simply try yourself.
as you have an account already you could just give it a try, with pc gaming you can look at hardware and say yes its within the requirements or not, but its hard to give an exact answer of how well something will run, hardware isn't t the only thing that can effect it, the specs you gave are within the requirements, the GPU is pretty bad as its an onboard one and not dedicate, but it should run the game, how well..... i couldn't say
Personally, I have played on a laptop for 1.13 on a LAN world hosted by my main PC. The only problem I encountered was sometimes logging into the LAN on the laptop as it would time out but it gets to log in after a while or after a restart of pc and laptop solves the issue. After I log in it is smooth sailing.
