I made this security for my carrot farm, I had some problems with rabbits, the moment I left BOOM rabbits having a feast, so I made a rabbit farm, baiting the rabbits into a trap! I felt so proud of this I posted it here, but then I'm like, is this practical? anyways if you guys hate this too just try it, I made more food this way than farming carrots. pictures down below.
it works by using the rabbits lust for carrots, in the center of thing of water, have a 2x2 thing of carrots, then protect it by a small wall they cant get over, make a piston bridge half way into the water, then a timer long enough to make them trust the bridge, then when the timer shuts off, they fall into the current, go under the wall, and drown.
is this over done? is just putting a fence around you carrots better? and just hunt the rabbits after? comment below on your thoughts.
I would probably just surround the crops with a 2 block high wall, and put a 2 block deep pit around the wall. They jump for the carrots, hit the wall, then fall in the hole. Much cheaper and easier to set up.

Obviously it's very practical, Lower yields? NAH the rabbits would have lowered the yields anyway!
I find it is rather expensive tho, like you need a lot of redstone for this. so for new people its not practical but for the guy who has the stuff I would say it is. seeing I made close to 3 times the food making these all over the plains biome.
the ANTI-RABBIT B-3000 how it works.

I think you should just build a retractable bridge (using slimeblock) and moat the perimeter. But nice idea
Maybe use 2-wide Trapdoor hall?
I'm a programmer. I use C/C++, BASIC, Assembly, and Python. If i sound too technicial, that's because it's the way i think.

I tried that but they don't jump for the carrots at all.
I will come up with some, simpler ideas for the ANTI-RABBIT farms.

The difference between equality of outcome and equality of choice is that one of them forces you to give up your freedom.
