The way you make add custom loot tables is it go into your world save then data and into the loot_tables folder. But on my save, there is no loot_tables folder, what do I do? How do I add custom loot tables?
- I am specifically trying to add Xisumavoid's custom mob heads into my loot table
TheBalliBoys did a lot of really incredible custom loot tables so I still have them (complete with instructions) saved:
1. Start Minecraft 1.9 or later
2. Select the world, you want to add the world to
3. Click on "Edit"
4. Click on "Open Folder".
5. Open the "data"-folder in the folder, that just opened
6. Put the "loot_tables" in the data folder
Here's the fishing overhaul he did as an example:
Stacking multiple loot table modifiers in the same world is completely possible, you just have to merge the contents of the loot_tables folders.
So it goes loot_tables --> minecraft --> entities for the mob drops overhaul
and loot_tables --> minecraft/items/crates for the fishing overhaul
If I wanted to use both, I'd put the "entities" folder inside the "minecraft" folder of the fishing one. A bit like combining pieces of different texture packs if you've done that before, gotta make sure things are in the right place.

You make a loot_tables folder.
