Recently I was exploring villages in a super-flat world. And then I came across a rather peculiar find. This village had no lights, torches or doors. All the villagers were dead & there were wrecked street lamps without torches.
And just about 25-30 minutes before I put up this thread I found another one. I was quick enough to get there before what was left of the villagers had perished. But however, they had already been turned into zombies.
Any other creepy finds in Minecraft that you would like to share please post here.
I don't think the villagers were turned into zombies, they spawned that way!
From the Wiki's Village Article:

2% of villages will generate as zombie villages. In such villages, all generated villagers are instead zombie villagers, and all doors and torches are missing. These zombie villagers will not despawn, but have no special resistance to sunlight. In Bedrock Edition, zombie villages include cobweb and moss stone.

I have a 100x100 base, that is well lit and never have I seen any mobs spawn. And suddenly while casually trading my villagers I have a spider jockey coming at me with full force. I went over my base and found ONE block with wrong light level. What are the odds of that, eh?
Maybe the spider jockey climbed up the walls of your base?

From 1.10 on.
Still creepy!
Just testing.
Interesting information. Thank you.
I had something where I was walking through a forest and I kept hearing a mine-cart, I never figured out what it was.
Just curious, that's all.
That is actually quite creepy.
There was probably a mineshaft below you but mine-carts don't run by themselves.
Interesting find.
And what makes it more strange is that it happened several times to me and also to my brother who has a different account and a different computer.
Just curious, that's all.
Maybe the spider jockey climbed up the walls of your base?
Still creepy though.
these are zombie villages they spawn with no doors no lights and zombie villagers thats it kind regards thegodnotch
This is an explanation for the village finds.
Thanks to Hexalobular.
Maybe it got in through a cave? Do you have any caves that could be used to get into your base?
When you were trading were you in a house or outside?
Will we ever find out how it got in?
When abandoned mineshafts generate the game plays the sound of a rolling minecart.
Interesting.
Thanks.
