Gold is one of the densest elements in nature. Blocks in minecraft are confirmed to be cubes a meter in width slash length. So, a cubic meter of gold would weigh around 19.3 tonnes. That sure is alot, but a god apple uses 8 blocks of gold to craft it. That would make a gapple weigh a hefty 154.4 tonnes, but you can stack golden apples. In one hand you can carry 9881.6 TONNES of golden apples. That's 21,785,198 pounds!
Trying to apply this kind of logic doesn't really work. If that was the case he wouldn't need a sword because he would obliterate any enemies with what he would consider to be a light tap. But then you could also argue that because increased strength doesn't equal stronger bones that punching with that force would shatter his arm bones. You can't hit like a truck unless you can withstand hitting something with the force of a truck.

The one huge flaw in your logic is that Mojang only confirmed the spatial dimensions of a block, they never once said that any minecraft material had a weight (and by extension had the same weight as in RL).
People just wanna prove that Newton exists in Minecraft.
Sadly, he exists, but his theories don't exist in Minecraft.
If Mojang (or Microsoft, idk...) wants to make blocks to be "drawn to scale", it only happens in Minecraft Edu. (So Physics teachers can teach Minecraft, yay~)

Now I'm imaging Steve creating nuclear explosions while running.
