Just a general chat about what texture pack(s) you use. A lot use the default texture pack, so I have a voting poll up so I'll know how many use the default or any other kind. Also, if you want, you can leave the link to the page where it has the texture pack so others can find it if they want to use it.
I mostly use the default, just because I never really found a texture pack that I really like. What TheRango789 said, I do sometimes use a 3D pack, just because it looks cool, but it's mostly me using default. Another reason for using default, is that when I do builds, most people will propably use the default texture pack, so I just want to see the build in their eyes (sort of).

Oh man, signatures, gonna think about mine for a REALLY long time so it's cool and original! Oh, wait...

I use default with a few modifications, as shown here:
I changed glass to a completely clear texture with a white border, made the background of the inventory GUI where your character is rendered dark gray so it contrasts with my hair, reverted the lapis block texture to the pre-1.6 texture (brighter blue without a border) and replaced steve.png with my skin (skin servers were down? I never know unless I see somebody mention it). I actually replaced the textures inside the Minecraft jar so I don't actually even have any resource pack selected (I modded it anyway so I may as well just replace the textures at the same time without the need for a separate file).
I've also previously changed the water texture (I took the texture from another resource pack) but I did not use it for that long.
For the most part, I use John Smith's community maintained one, although I've made some slight custom changes. I also generally update it myself, or rather, a better and more correct way to put it would be to say I use the community one as a base and apply any changes afterwards. With 1.7, custom colors didn't work right initially, and now with 1.11 and later, colors are again wildly different, so I'm still playing on 1.10 since I'm not exactly in a rush to update (a bit of laziness and a bit of prioritizing working on my world for now, even if the features of 1.11 and 1.12 interest me, I'll get to it eventually).
Ever since I got the game back when 1.2.5 was out, and got a video card, when I went looking for texture packs I saw his and fell in love with it. I've been using it since. While many other texture packs look fantastic, I just can't find myself able to leave this now. It doesn't help when you've been playing with a given texture packs for years and make your build choices a little based around it even, so other texture packs (even the default) look odd (or at least worse) in my main world a bit.
As I only play modded I'm fairly limited on texture packs with mod support, so I tend to stick with Soartex Fanver. It's fairly realistic without overdoing it, and it's smooth colors are vary easy on the eyes.

I generally will use My Default Desire with a few changes to GUI and paintings. Once the 1.13 texture changes are out, I'm gonna make one from scratch (but not really) by putting together my own textures, and other packs textures. Well, depending on what they are like, things will change.
I use a mixture of packs due to the fact some blocks I like from one pack, while other blocks from another.
Currently it's a mixture of Flow, Ovo, John Smith, Ozo & a couple of others I can't remember atm (currently I call it my 'FOJO' pack).
I've even tweaked some blocks as none of these packs had anything I liked (eg. my Shulker boxes all look like Purpur Pillar blocks - just different colours)
Most of these packs are not updated for 1.12 so wherever there's no updated graphic for 1.12 blocks (e.g coloured beds) it still shows standard Minecraft blocks graphics

It's more than an honor to have you reply to my thread. That is very cool, too.
For my main world, for the most part of 6 years and 9 months I've used the painterly resource pack where you can pick and choose for each block. (painterlypack.net) I have made some modifications however:- Removing the middle line from two placed stone slabs, Used the stone slab as a basis for making my own stonebrick varieties, and very recenly changed the sandstone block to something of my choice - a block I used alot in Beta but hardly ever use these days.
In other worlds I always go 'Flows HD' for modern builds and for medievil 'John Smiths' Legacy' are my go-to packs. I do mind default but it feels bland and I can't stand the default glass texture.

I have tried nearly 100 texture packs, but I have been using the R3D Craft Smooth Realism 512x for the past few months. (And I get much better frame rates with the 512x than I did with the 128x for some reason.)
I also use Optifine with SEUS Shaders v11.0, with all settings cranked to max. I get a whopping (ha!) 32fps (642fps default, though).

Well, I usually mix it up, but, the one that I come crawling back to most of the time would be the OCD pack. Very popular and very simple. https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/ocd-pack/
EDIT: The poll is now a multi choice for people who use multiple texture packs.

You should see this one, https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/default-3d-2985741/. It's a very nice 3D pack (if you never heard of it). And, looks very cool.

That IS the 3D texture pack I do sometimes use, thanks though!

BDCraft in 3D at 128x resolution.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?

I personally use DokuCraft. It's got a bit of a Zelda-fantasy feel, which I personally like, and it really fits the style of a lot of the mods I use.
Want to see my suggestions? Here they are!

The only resource pack I ever felt comfortable using over a long period of time (besides default) was Coterie Craft.
