So... if I have a texture under textures and blocks called slime, will it use that? Or, as in this case, I had 3 different textures called 'quartz', 'black', and 'grey', which it used all over it, some for the stove top, some for the actual block, and some for the handles etc... if I put them under the textures, will it use them?
Sorry this is kinda a long thread, and I'm not sure if there's actually a place for this to go, just hope I get some answers :D.
So... I am creating a custom models resource pack for one of my maps, kinda kitchen benches and appliances etc...
So I have these folders...
Resource Pack
- pack.mcmeta
- pack.png
- assets
(under assets)
- minecraft
(under Minecraft)
- blockstates
- models
- textures
that's the basic layout... then under models I have 'block' and 'item'.
I use Mr.Crayfish's model maker, which allows you to create the model, and then put a texture on it...
So, I have the .json file for slime (that's just what I tried using), then I have the file under blockstates which says:
{
"__comment":"By ThunderBolt832 ",
"variants": {
"normal": [
{ "model": "slime" }
]
}
}
