Okay so this might be the weirdest thread I've ever create but I really need some advice.
As the title shows: How can I get somebody to give me their username?
I recently joined a server and I saw a person with an username that I really liked but the problem is I don't know how to approach the situation without embarrassing myself. What if I ask and he says no? How can I convince him to trade me his username? The thing is I have been wanting this username for a really long time and it just happens that I joined a server and saw the person with the username. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
Well, one thing to keep in mind is, (as some teachers say) the worst answer you can get is "no". As a sidenote, you can download a launcher and play offline and set your own username (I believe MultiMC does this, but I can't remember exactly). I know that this is not entirely the best solution, but it is possible. Also, on Bukkit, there might be a way with the Bukkit API to change your player name on the server.
You could offer money or a other small thing to trade (steam key?). Or make the person a statue and praise him/her like a hero haha, who knows maybe it'll help.

Only thing you can do is ask. Whatever answer you get is what you have to live with.

If he changes his name often, wait for the name to become available again.

Thanks for the website and the tip. Sadly i dont think he will change his name anytime soon since the last time he changed his name is in 2015
Go on the server and suggest some great usernames.
