Sorry but, EVEN AFTER KILLIG THE ENDERDRAG... You have to collect wood, build things, and even the world is infinite... there should be something to honour us... and please dont notice the avatars... and the avatar is a screen shot on creative mode...

You don't have to build stuff to go to the end (well, only a nether portal). The End as of 1.9 is amazing and OP. They do have something to honor us.
Magma Cubes: They don't have unique drops, aren't even a good source of their drops (Meanwhile, Zombie Pigmen can be good Gold sources, as they are the only renewable means of obtaining it and are the only food source in the Nether apart from mushrooms, while both Ghasts and Wither Skeletons also have unique drops), and said drop is Magma Cream, which is only used to make potions and Magma Blocks. This means that the former use requires a Blaze Rod, so it requires fighting Blazes for their rods (And Blaze Powder can be crafted with Slimeballs into Magma Cream, which means that the other source of Magma Cream is available once it's main use is available), while Magma Blocks can be already found in the Nether.
The dragon provides a sort of big challenge or end goal. Honestly, if you can justify that being useless, you can pretty much find a way to write off any mob as useless. After all, pigs drop meat, and horses drop leather, so why have cows?
Endermites are useful for farms, but regular silverfish are obnoxious and are definitely more useless.

The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird would be able to cross the entire Minecraft world in just shy of 17 hours.
I know these aren't useless, BUT SKELETONS ARE A PAIN IN THE BUTT. Seriously, if you say "But you can shoot them!!!" but still i hate trying to craft arrows, because 1. I don't see many chickens 2. GRAVEL HATES ME. Just had to let that out when someone said "annoying". (Same goes to baby zombies, but they are useless to, since they are the same drops as zombies)
The Enderdragon is the end game boss. Players who have advanced so far into the game so that they have the resources and courage to kill the Enderdragon deserve a reward, Thats why the dragon egg exists. Also the Enderdragon drops extremely large amount of experience points (enough the get a player at level 0 to level 75) also with the new edition of dragon breath you can make very useful lingering potions.

Some players go to the nether when they haven't found a swamp yet (swamps can be a pain to find). No magma cubes, no fire resistance potions for those who haven't found a swamp in their world.

You're saying the dragon is useless or you are talking to someone else?
Enderdragon? Loads of xp, dragon's breath used to make lingering potions and tipped arrows?
Rabbits are fairly useless. Not entirely, but I never use jump boost potions, aside from hide being made into leather, and rabbit stew being hardy, their meat alone isn't terribly filling, they don't perform a function upon taming, like wolves and ocelots. Just a pet for the sake of a pet.

They don't even make good pets! Rabbits in 1.9+ run away from ALL THE TIME.

It's zombies. The only drop of non-armored zombies is rotten flesh which can be used as food in emergency situations, which is not likely to happen, and it gives you hunger. And armored zombies are rare, you are likely to have at least iron armor before you find an armored zombie, unless you're playing skyblock or something.

If you have a zombie grinder you can use rotten flesh to trade with clerics. Zombie villagers are useful too as I cured one with twelve emeralds for a mending book.

I know this one ain't useless but imagine this...
your running around the nether when when suddenly you hear a screech. BOOM Fireball! You see another heading at you so you try to deflect it at the ghast. Miss. Finally you give up.
or finding a few arrows to shoot one down only to figure out he has friends
So you're agreeing with me?
If not, why is your profile picture of an ender dragon dying?

Silverfish, they're not really good for much.
They do have a signature drop: Magma Cream.
Yeah, I'd have to say Silverfish.
Ah, I was not aware of that. What's the recipe?

Silverfish, hands down. No drops and it s a nuisance of a mob, but one could argue the nuisance factor serves its purpose
