I've recently started a challenge where I'm using a custom world generator. The spawn point is a massive desert with no trees and very little cobblestone. Cobblestone has a rarity roughly equal to iron and the only wood I can get is from mineshafts and the sticks from dead bushes. Because of this, I'm struggling to find a building style that works, since I'm so used to having wood and cobble to build with. I can use it minimally, for decoration type things, but not for the structure itself. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Pictures would be nice!
I'm assuming when you say cobblestone is rare you're talking about smooth stone......however what about making a cobblestone generator?
Also what about nether materials?
I actually have cobblestone spawning as an ore (smooth stone is replaced with sandstone). That's a good point with the cobble generator, although your still not going to have the ridiculous amounts of cobble you would have playing normally.
Nether materials are definitely still a thing, however you do have to get to the nether first, and I would like to have some kind of shelter before I advance all the way to the end game lol.
