Hi I am using Minecraft 1.9 on Windows 10 Creative Mode.
Using fill game command - I successfully created 2 walls 200 blocks long, 3 high and wide East to West.- despite the fact that I ended up 'inside' the wall lol :-D.
However, I am having great difficulty constructing 2 walls going North to South. I have tried every combination going, but can I get it to work??? Can I heck!!!!
At 63 years old I must be having a senior moment lol :-D Please help.
Nothing at all. How do I stop being buried by the wall btw?
Nothing? That's very odd, it ought to either tell you how many blocks have been placed or some sort of error message.
If you add 1 or 2 to the X or Z values it should put the wall next to you.
So:
/fill ~-100 ~3 ~1 ~100 ~-1 ~3 cobblestone 0 replace
for your example and:
/fill ~1 ~3 ~-100 ~3 ~-1 ~100 cobblestone 0 replace
for mine, if you could get it to work.
You aren't anywhere near the edge of the world are you? Though I'm pretty sure trying to place blocks outside the world would give you an error message.
What happens if you punch "t" to get the chat? That should show you any earlier error messages.
You could try using absolute coordinates instead of the relative ones.
I was in my second year of school in the US when you were born.
The next year I started going to a US military dependents school in London.
We lived in Langley near Heath Row airport.

If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.
We're definitely on the far right end of the Minecrafter age graph.

Sometimes I find it easier to use absolute coordinates instead of relative. I'll survey the area before beginning noting coordinates and planning out a layout, then write out a list of commands.
You just have to remember that directions of coordinates are east, up, and south for positive values.

works for me, what are you typing and what happens?
Just testing.
Cool Thanks :-D
I will try this Thanks
Nothing happened at all ????
Odd?
Does it say anything in the chat when you do it?
I get "3015 blocks filled" or "No blocks filled" if I run it again in the same place.
Just testing.

You're not the oldest Minecrafter around.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
