Minecrafters, welcome to today's meeting. Our topic: daily life. What are the ways that Minecraft has encroached on your daily life? It can be simple, funny, long, as long as it pertains to real life.
For example, I got to work one day and noticed that a full moon was out (I work in construction, and it is usually still night when I arrive). My immediate thought: "Oh, Slimes must be all over the place in the swamplands." My next immediate thought was: "Wow, that probably wasn't a rational thought."
Lets get this ball rolling. Who'd like to volunteer to go next?
That's really cool! How did Minecraft help you with Graphics design, did you get your inspiration from it? I dabbled a little in GIMP myself, and have taken a class in Photoshop
I discovered the game when I was younger. Later, in 5th grade, I discovered a guy liked Minecraft too, so we set up a private server and started playing. He's now my best friend, so, long story short, it helped me make friends.

We're not pawns of some scripted fate. I believe we're more. Much more... There's something between us all. Something that keeps us together... Like...invisible ties, connecting us.
I started playing Minecraft when I was five years old. Just to be clear, this was Minecraft PE. I had no artistic abilities(and I still don’t lol) but the first time I placed a wooden stair and called it a chair, I felt so accomplished. I felt... creative. Now, I know none of you want to hear a story about how Minecraft made me understand that anyone can be creative, but it’s true! Aaaaaanyways, 3 years later, my brother received Minecraft java for his birthday. He was told that he had to share his account with me tho sooo... I was amazed! I had no idea you could go on to multiplayer server! I started out playing on mineplex. Now, during quarantine(I’m 13 now), I have delved into hypixel with my cousins. It’s the only thing that has kept me in contact with other human beings. I truly believe Minecraft has been positively affecting me since I was 5 years old!
Minecraft has lead to me learning how to do java scripts, how to manage servers, encouraged me to learn more web design, motivated me to start a gaming community, did a graduate level project on Minecraft community development for my MBA, has lead me to other games like Vintage Story and got me into mod pack deving. Its certainly been a crazy ride.
The best thing Minecraft has given me is new friendships from around the world. There are people I chat with everyday that I met because of the Minecraft community I am in and modpack deving I have done. It has also been something my family and I play together. Some of the most fun gaming experiences I have had has been with my wife, brother, cousins and best friends playing together on a server. There was one time my friend and I built up amazing armor and supplies to take on the nether with lycanites. My friend and I lead the way while my wife followed. My friend and I both fell through a hole in the ground and lost everything while my wife just laughed. Another time my wife and cousin would race to try to get the ores left behind by the buildcraft quarry and it was hilarious to watch them. On our servers the community built a city once with all sorts of houses, skyscapers and roads. It even had ships in the water. Another time we had a streamer come on to our servers that never played lycanites before and we got to watch his hilarious reactions live. The stories are numerous from the community. We had a team come on and make these massive castles on the server along with a town. We have had teams make crazy things with all the mods.
I can't begin to explain how nice it is to sit on the community servers and chat with people. I've learned things about other places in the world, science, or even just interesting things about other people. Its a blast to see what others build and to trade with people. Its awesome to have help on the server to explain how to do something in a mod. Its fun to play small pranks on each other. The list just goes on. Minecraft has been a ton of fun over the years and I hope to continue to meet and play with new people in the community.

Now when I walk my dog at night, I choose brighter roads to avoid CREEPERS! LOL
